Ex-Clinton aide rips Trump for revoking Brennan's clearance: 'What a vindictive little b----'

A former aide to Hillary Clinton slammed President Trump on Twitter Wednesday after he revoked former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance.

“Trump just revoked former CIA Director John Brennan’s security clearance,” Philippe Reines said in a tweet. “What a vindictive little b*tch.”

Shortly before Reine’s remarks on Twitter, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders read Trump’s statement announcing the move during a press briefing on Wednesday afternoon.

"As the head of the executive branch and the commander in chief,” Trump’s statement read, “I have a unique constitutional responsibility to protect the nation's classified information, including by controlling access to it.”

The move came just one day after Brennan, who has long been critical Trump throughout much of his presidency, ripped Trump on Twitter in response to his tweet calling former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman a “dog.”

“It’s astounding how often you fail to live up to minimum standards of decency, civility, & probity,” Brennan said in a tweet. “Seems like you will never understand what it means to be president, nor what it takes to be a good, decent, & honest person. So disheartening, so dangerous for our Nation.”

The president also said he is still reviewing several other former intelligence officials’ access to classified information, including former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former FBI Director James Comey, former National Security Administration Director Michael Hayden, former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, among others.

Each of those individuals also have a history of making critical statements in the past.

Well, a Clinton aide would know a “vindictive little b*itch” when he sees one.

I like dogs and they are loyal, so I thought "snake" would be more accurate.

Maybe Trump is saving that one for Brennan.

Remember Strozyk wanted to have all kinds of access.

Wonder if there is a FISA warrant out on any of these creeps....or if that is to come.

Trump lives by the Joan Crawford motto:

I had a “secret” clearance in the Air Force...the day I was discharged, ended my security clearance.

I don’t get how they can muster out, or get fired, and not lose their security clearance.

An ex-employee, or disgruntled employee, is the worst person in the world to continue to hold a security clearance.

Actually NOBODY who is not currently employed in the administration with a need-to-know role should have a clearance.

Security 101 dictates that the circle of people who know be kept as small as possible.

Pretty vindictive to begin a phony investigation with a Special Counsel, based on a fake dossier and fake FISA application. Oh Wait, that was not president Trump. It was the left over democrats in DOJ & FBI.

Philippe Reines is the guy running that stupid weeks-long protest across from the White House as if LBJ still lives there.

Speaking of vindictive little bitches...

Trump should be pulling their security clearances too. In fact, he should pull clearances on anyone who ever kissed Obama’s ring.

I don't understand why they maintain their clearance either.

It seems obvious once you're out, you should lose access to security updates.

What is the reasoning behind letting people keep their security clearance?

Can I go to my last job and sit in on meetings?
