Alcidor/Jabar embarrasses himself by his ignorance. All races and all status of workers had and have work songs. Many of these have passed into the folk genre, or even become popular songs. But the “Star Spangled Banner” is not one of them; it was written as a patriotic poem and set to a (then) popular drinking song. It is officially adopted as our National Anthem.
