Maybe. She’s going up against a couple of big time hitters in the Dem primary this upcoming Tuesday.
Her opponents have been raising money and campaigning pretty hard.
I used to live in the 5th District. In 2006, I crossed over and voted in the Dem primary just so I could keep Keith Ellison from winning. I voted for a Dem who only made me sick 95% of the time as opposed to Ellison making me sick 110% of the time.
But alas, that didn’t happen. Ellison won with a plurality of the vote.
You forgot to mention Ronald Reagan, who publicly campaigned for and signed the IRCA Amnesty in 1986.
IRCA is the gift that keeps on giving...
The federal government predicted 400,000 illegals would qualify.
Instead, 32 years later, IRCA is still in force, and 2.7 million have received Amnesty.
And, once the IRCAs started getting their Green Cards, they qualified for “Chain Migration,” so millions of their family members have also legally moved to the USA.

I remember my local Lutheran Church always saying how much progress was being made bringing Somalians.

If we want to clean the Augean stables, there are several good places to start. The growth of staff is one. City councilmen in large cities have staff. State reps have staff. Get rid of them. Make their excellencies do their own work.

My wife used to work for WIC (Women-Infant-Children) providing food (welfare) for poor people. Every few years a bunch of immigrants were located here by the government from whatever hellhole was popular at the time. They were all given directions where to go to sign up for all kinds of welfare.
Luckily, most of them left (moved elsewhere in the US) within a year. A LOT of them went to Minnesota. The reason was that Minnesota gave a LOT more welfare that our state did.
We knew Minnesota. We moved out of there in the late 1970’s because it was too liberal even way back then.
Gee, bigamy, possible incest, perjury and immigration fraud what a candidate. Makes me proud to live in MN with such diversity
