Not me! Unfortunately I never used my native status for financial gain. My great grandmother was half Meswaki. I do have the high cheekbones, and dark complexion. My wife is half Italian, so lots of dark haired, dark skinned kiddos.

No one in my family has used our native heritage for any gain. My grandfather was full-blooded Cherokee. The senator doesn’t come close to looking like anyone in my family.

Mine either, the women in my mother’s family are dark skinned brunettes, and quite attractive. Most people would look at her family and think....Mexican. I have the dark skin, have never burned in my life, and got them Sen Warren cheekbones, lol!
I have a good friend who is full Cherokee, family was one that took the trail of tears to OKlahoma, she hasn’t taken any advantage of her heritage either.

My wife is half Italian/German, but looks like her Sicilian side. We have grandchildren who are blue eyed blondes but still are fairly dark, as well as a pair of twins, one fair, one dark eyed, dark skinned, and dark haired. The dark haired one also inherited the Sicilian temperament.
