Trump, down three touchdowns at halftime, declares victory
washingtonpost ^ | 08/08/2018 | Dana Milbank

This is a grim moment for President Trump and his fellow Republicans.

A Trump-boosting Republican member of Congress has been indicted on charges of insider trading — from the White House, no less. Trump’s former campaign chairman and another former aide are squabbling in court over who is the bigger criminal. And in a closely watched special congressional race in Ohio — a seat Republicans have held for 35 years in a district Trump won by 11 points and Mitt Romney by 10 — the Republican was clinging to a 0.9-percentage -point lead Wednesday despite Trump’s intervention and vast sums of Republican dollars.

In situations such as these, there is only one thing for Trump to do: declare victory.

“Congratulations to Troy Balderson on a great win in Ohio,” Trump proclaimed, even though the number of uncounted provisional and absentee ballots meant the race could not be called. Trump further declared it “a great victory” in a “very special” race.

Collins was at a picnic at the Whitehouse. It's not like he was sitting in the West Wing.

But since Collins has not taken his leave, I'm going to do a wait and see.

I saw the headline today that a lot of votes have been “found”. Looks like we lost another by not covering the fraud margin.

I’m voting R, as will my family, but am I the only one who thinks Trump will thrive with a D House & R Senate? I think DJT will thrive in the adversity.

Congress is exempt from insider trading laws from what I’ve read in the past

They never found the lost military absentee votes in Florida. Luckily the recount after several times still showed Bush ahead of Gore... For what it’s worth. But the military absentee votes which generally are considered to be conservative - were mysteriously lost or somehow disappeared... Never to be found again nor counted.

“Trump, down three touchdowns at halftime, declares victory”

Whoops, I thought this was an article from October, 2016.

My bad.

If that happens the Deep State™ will have won and attempted a coup d'etat and got away with it. Whether it is ultimately successful or not will be in doubt but the chances of it succeeding are better with a Dem HOR.

America will be scarred and changed forever.

The SoS should exclude all “found” votes. How in the h@ll do you lose votes over a 14 hour period? Who the h@ll at the polls puts uncounted votes in the trunk of their car? Throw these fraudulent votes out. Appropriately punish any court that demands the “found” ballots inclusion.

Yes, just you. Unless you want to spend every moment between 11/18 and 11/20 hearing about the ongoing Trump impeachment you don’t want a D house. If for no other reason, I don’t think I could stand the gloating from Pelosi and Schumer.

I got an email from the compost this morning for a $50 digital subscription for the year (that’s half off! one day only!) Can you imagine ever paying for that fake news blog? I wouldn’t read it if it were free.

So be it. Beyond me holding my nose & voting for my sellout, GOPe, globalist shill, there’s nothing more I can do. Life will go on.

No. The threat to impeach is a pure bluff. Red meat to rouse radical voters from the couch and pry money from the checkbooks of the Tom Steyers of the world. They know in their hearts that Trump is MUCH more popular than they will ever admit, and it will not go down well with many of their own voters. Plus it actually WOULD be the spark that ignites CW 2.0, which they are in no position to win.

pic of a triumphant O’Connor...

8 Aug: Columbus Dispatch: 12th Congressional District: O’Connor gains 190 votes on Balderson
by Jack Torry
O’Connor closed the gap by 190 votes Wednesday when Franklin County elections officials discovered that three Worthington precincts voting at the Griswold Center had not been counted Tuesday. Presuming no immediate changes in other counties in the sprawling 12th Congressional District, Balderson now is up 1,564 votes over O’Connor...

However, simple math shows O’Connor remains a long shot to emerge the victor. He needs to win about 57 percent of the remaining 8,483 uncounted ballots to make up the deficit. While that might sound doable, the 8,483 total assumes every single provisional ballot will be counted and that every single uncounted ballot that was mailed overseas or to a member of the military is returned within 10 days...

Rick Saccone knows that provisional ballots matter. The Republican, who in March narrowly lost a special election to Democrat Conor Lamb in a western Pennsylvania district that Trump won by 20 points, at one point saw a 95–vote difference between himself and his opponent. But the provisional and absentee votes sealed the deal, giving Lamb the roughly 650 votes that cemented his victory.
Months after his own race, Saccone said there’s an inadvertent danger in the gerrymandered districts that are primarily Republican but wedded to a more liberal–leaning city, as the Pennsylvania and Ohio districts are...

***In retrospect, (Rep. Steve Stivers, the Upper Arlington Republican who heads the campaign organization for House Republicans) said, he wishes Republicans had sent out absentee-ballot request forms earlier — the Democrats got theirs out a week earlier than the GOP did — but said it’s a lesson learned. Some of the GOP ballot applications also had incorrect information, meaning party workers had to scramble at the last minute in an attempt to remedy the defect...

***so who was responsible?

NO!

We want a wall, and not in several years.

A dem win means no wall at the best, and continued relentless push for amnesty.

Currently, while there are many RINO/GOPe in the House and Senate, many of those running now are pro-Trump, and will vote with him, not against.

And we just don't know. A dem win my not mean a GOP return, or Donald for that matter, in 2020.

Let's win this election, or ALL progress is lost, at least until and IF we can win it all back.

Grim moment? God these folks till dont understand the mindset of their sworn enemies. Every day we feast on the carcasses of dead narratives. Each new sunrise brings yet another Trump victory. Hes down 3 touchdowns? Hes up by about 10..... and there is no slaughter rule that I am aware of. Democrats are waterboys, carrying the jocks of the alphas right now. No amount of liberal hyperbole can change the facts. Sorry Dana.

There are only so many Troy Baldersons and Rick Saccones Trump can try and drag across the finish line without help from the GOPe. We’ll be fine either way and maybe a purge of the establishment hacks will work to our advantage.
