Rob Reiner: Fox, Breitbart ‘Trafficking in Another Narrative

Wednesday, on “MSNBC Live with Katy Tur,” actor and director Rob Reiner made the argument that Fox News and Breitbart News Network are “trafficking in another narrative” that is different from outlets such as the Washington Post and the New York Times working to get the truth out and that we “might be the last stage of a civil war.”

On the media, Reiner said, “I think of it as two mainstream medias. You have the Washington Post, the New York Times, all the networks except for Fox, working very hard to get the truth out.”

He continued that while there are good journalists at Fox, “this is the first time that you have mainstream media essentially divided into two halves, so that you have Fox, Breitbart, Sinclair, and Alex Jones, which has now been taken off of Facebook, thank God, you know, trafficking in another narrative.

I was recently watching a Dick Cavett show from 1971. The guest was Charlton Hesston. Charlton was saying actors were considered so low they could not get hotel rooms and such.
They were treated like the lowlifes of society.

I want to go back to those times.

So we have two realites here, and only one can be true.

You tell me which one is the scarier possiblity, in your opinon;

1) The main stream media, the press, and powerful/influential very very rich men inside and outside this country are all right in their views on socialism and open borders, and there’s a fringe conservative hold-out from the old America that no longer exists that still want a place to express their views. Hell, some of them might even be the racist, homophobe, islamophobe, bigots that the media portrays them as. In fact, I’m sure that some are (just how much, and are they on the other side too)

2) Almost all of the media (in concert or at the behest of powerful, rich elites domestic and FOREIGN) are working with the “deep state” to ferret out the final refuges of free speech, where by they already have control of the social media feeds (claiming that any opposition to their point of view is “outside interference”) and a few rogue (albiet somewhat well syndicated in some cases) outlets of information that will face the final squeeze at some point in the future.

Rob Reiner ought to be very, very careful promoting that “civil war “ narrative. If shooting were to start, look out.
