Great point. We’ll know that the purported ‘boom’ is real when there’s a spike in JNJ baby care, PG Pampers & KMB Huggies. No sign of that yet.
This lie still persists in the media: "Nobody knew..." "Everyone thought ..."
The reality is that in the 1960s, sociologists (including my Sociology Prof at Wheaton College) acurately predicted the impact that cheap birth control (and lesser technology) would have on changing the family, changing male-female relationships, and the entire society. What happens is that the dominant academia and media pretend that research with conclusions not of the dominant group does not exist.
This will become even worse as both academic and buisness models rely more and more on models where the assumptions and bias are unstated and hid from view.
My daughter went to a very conservative college. She has 5 children. Almost all of her married friends have between 3 and 6 children.
Like, if you like have like kids, man, like your life is like totally like over and stuff.
I grew up in the late 60’s to early 80’s. Most of my friends parents came from ‘large’ families of 6 to 11 kids. Most of my friends had anywhere from 4 to 6 siblings. It was ‘normal’ to have several siblings. I have 8 kids and we are stared at like we just spread the plague. I don’t make a lot money, but love my job. No govt funding accepted and shop in bulk as well as bulk coupon deals. If I can do it on limited income ( just over double minimum wage) without government, anyone can do it. Its also called ‘living within your means’ and not living on credit.
We are happy and content.
It would take a complete idiot not to see that as heaven on earth.
God has blessed you.
Congratulations.:-)
2 different stories I have heard recently come to mind —
that indicate people DID WANT to have a child BUT
something stood in the way. Beyond their control, that they did not know about.
Would you be open to consider people would do this hmmm
People certainly do worse than this :(((
1. A country in Africa, people got suspicious, accused someone who vigorously denied. Would Bill Gates put omething in say flu shots or something to inhibit fertilization hmmm
Investigation SHOWED/PROVED this was happening. TSK OOPS
cont
2. I was just listening to an interview with 6 nurses who are all recently PREGNANT! ??? None having anything to do with each other.
I was only half listening, till just the end when I perked up with some suspicion.
They all work at the same place, hospital or such. About ?20 - 30 nurses there. One by one they reported to the boss of their situation, with NO talking among themselves of this.
I perked up when they got to the 6th pregnant nurse who repeated it had nothing to do with any of the others and that SHE AND HUSBAND HAD BEEN TRYING FOR A YEAR TO GET PREGNANT.
hmmmmmmmmmm ALL AT THE SAME TIME ?????????????
Lots of things to suppose could have been involved/altered:
- suspicious water
- suspicious flu shots
- et al
