Dinesh D'Souza: 'The weapons of the state are used against political opponents'
Conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza contends American politics are at their most combustible since just before the Civil War, and he says President Trump must lead the effort to destroy “plantation politics” and end the practice of using the power of government to punish political enemies.
D’Souza latest film, “Death of A Nation,” which opens Aug. 3, contends one of the greatest dangers Americans now face is the Democrats’ weaponization of government to exact political punishment on their enemies.
He believes that’s the reason for the increased polarization in the U.S. and why he received a much harsher sentence for campaign finance violations than most other people.
“I attribute this mainly to the gangster-ization of the Democratic Party. If I can cite my own case as an example. I was charged by the Obama administration for exceeding campaign finance laws. They threw the weight of the federal government against me,” he said.
“Jimmy Carter would not have done that. That was the old Democratic Party. But under Obama and under Hillary, you had this turn in which the weapons of the state are used against political opponents. There’s no way to compromise with that. It’s not like we can have a middle position on that. We actually have to just stop it,” said D’Souza.

I like this “gangsterization” description. It’s the truth and it’s a breakthrough characterization of what’s happened.

Obama appointed Michelle Lee as head of the Patent Office. Michelle Lee was Deputy General Counsel of Google.
Under Michelle Lee’s watch the Silicon Valley tech giants had a field day in stealing the intellectual property of small firms. They even have a name for it: “efficient infringement”- meaning that they calculate which will have a higher return- paying the court costs when they get sued by the firms that they are ripping off, or paying the license fees for using the IP that they are stealing. Under Obama and Michelle Lee that was an easy call.
“I’m ambivalent on Dinesh”
“ambivalent” is even more credit than I will give Dinesh. I learned about his character a long time ago, when he was advancing his career by smearing other conservative writers as being racist, while he was blatantly plagiarizing their work.
That wasn’t an accident. In fact none of the of the scandals that have featured him have been accidents, including the one that got him a vacation in the slammer. He’s a cheat and an opportunist and eventually it will catch up with him.

Dinesh D’Souza is the smartest man alive today.
He characterized the Democrat Party, what no person before him ever did. Scam, scam, scam.
He is a National Treasure for that task.
And to think....he’s tagged both Laura Ingraham & Ann Coulter:) Strange world we live in.
I welcome support from flawed spokesmen, where they have a valid point, in defense of the American tradition, but do not excuse "politically correct" disrespect for ethnic American heritages, North or South. (Differences of opinion as to priorities are legitimate subjects for discussion. Insulting the values of the Founding Fathers is not.)
The following have nothing specifically to do with the subject, but will indicate places where I would draw the line against PC bigotry.
