I have no problem with it either but, considering the source and the way the article is worded, this is probably fake news. If President Trump really wanted a reporter banned there is no doubt in my mind that the reporter in question would be banned.
There’s no God-given, or Constitutional, right to have the press in any of these events. Just pull the plug already and get down to serious business. These circus situations detract from the serious business; they’re a mockery.
No one seemed to mind when Obama did it. Depends on who’s ox is getting gored.
They’re not there to report the news. They’re only there to shout out rude gotcha questions on a totally different subject but Han the event.

Ban the reporters. The DC press pool behaves like they are having a temper tantrum. I am weary listening to their screaming.
They reporters need to learn some decorum.

The media folks treat PDJT disrespectfully because they do it and, until this one woman got “banned”, nothing negative happened to them.
Whenever President Trump holds one of his round table discussions, the loud clicking of the cameras almost drowns out the speakers. I wonder if all videos of these meetings will be as bad as what we hear live. Also, the media folks put their big boom mikes and even themselves in pictures. I don’t recall any of this with Obama. In fact, I think that Obama limited photographers and videographers in the White House so that only approved Pictures went out.

If I was advising President Trump, I would strongly suggest that he have a drop-down curtain installed between the speakers podium and the press seating section. And immediately following the response to the last permitted question that curtain would be brought down and the party would be over.

I’ve only been there in the daytime, driving by. Mostly before the WH perimeter was expanded [probably multiple times since Nixon].
