Trump beat Hillary more than a year ago but the left can't let it go – and it's harming our country

After the U.S. Supreme Court confirmed his razor-thin defeat in the 2000 presidential election, former Vice President Al Gore could have gone to the mat trying to delegitimize the presidency of George W. Bush. Much to his credit, he didn’t.

Democrat Gore had won the popular vote, after all, and the turmoil created by the historic 36-day recount in Florida was all he needed to divide the country for selfish and ideological reasons. But instead of orchestrating a radical leftist resistance, Gore chose country over power.

As difficult as it must have been, Gore was big enough to let it go, accept his loss, and recognize that Republican Bush was the legitimate president of the United States.

In a constitutional republic like ours, every two years there are winners and losers at the ballot box. After a rigorous debate and exchange of ideas, “We the People” make the ultimate decision about who will do the governing until the next election.

Historically, the party that loses the previous election licks its wounds, reboots its message and works with the majority party on issues where common ground can be found. This recipe that is the American miracle has worked remarkably well for 230 years – until now....

The very LAST thing on the minds of the pea-brained left is the Country's welfare.

“Gore was big enough to let it go, accept his loss, and recognize that Republican Bush was the legitimate president of the United States.”

That’s why algore is still going around saying he really won.

The Left/Democrats live on victim-ization. With President Trump’s election, the entire Democrat Left considers themselves a “group victim” — nirvana for the Left.

That's some interesting revisionist history right there. LOL. I think the old sex poodle still says he won.

I felt that the Gore response to losing was embarrassing. Really childish.

Clinton’s response to her loss is just plain nuts.

Kerry was cheated, they say, and they grumbled. Gore was cheated, they say, and they howled. Clinton was cheated and the masses are being urged to take to the streets. Next election they’ll start throwing firebottles and breaking things when they lose.

This festering Democratic wound will hurt Democrats in the upcoming elections, November and in 2020.

We own 90% of the guns. The military, veterans, law enforcement and security are chock full of us. We grow the food, transport it and control it. Most of us don’t depend on EBT, food stamps, government cheese, Obamaphones and the like. That’ll be a short war.

The Deep State was that close ‘’ to stealing the country from US and putting US under the UN.
One more fake election between a Bush and a Clinton and they could get the final amnesty.
We wouldn’t vote for the New World Order so they are importing people who will.

All of this hysteria (every time they do it) is about stopping Trump from restoring the rule of law.

We weren’t supposed to be able to elect a President who would enforce the laws and borders.
In every election since the last amnesty we have only been allowed to vote for amnesty candidates.
They had US in a box.
Until Trump.
We were supposed to get Yeb!
We have a very short window of eight years of Trump to undo 30 years of the Bush Plan for North Mexico.
We MUST get rid of the Bush League Republicans, particularly in the Senate. (Rubio, Graham, Alexander, Murkowsky, Hoeven, Heller all voted for amnesty)
We will never get legislation favorable to the citizens until they are gone.

We weren’t supposed to elect a patriot; the leftist freak show resembling the Mos Eisley cantina patrons simply couldn’t believe after 8 years of Otoken that they could be stopped.

Gore accepted his loss gracefully? That’s not how I remember it.

Let’s re-open a box of hanging chads to make sure!

BS about Gore, contesting an election all the way to the SC is not losing gracefully. Gore tried to limit Florida recounts to Rat controlled precincts. Then the Rats tried to have closed door recounts in some places they controlled. Graceful my ars!

The Left has lost their collective minds. Watching PDJT on FoxNews (yeah, I know) talking about the repatriation of the remains of Americans lost during the Korean Conflict, I thought to myself ‘I wonder of the LSM will even report on this’. The Leftist indoctrination in education has taught ‘our children’ to hate America and everything we stand for. It will takes a decade to instill patriotism in those who have been heavily indoctrinated. I pray they awaken to the good America has done throughout the world. In a conversation with my hard core Leftist brother, he said ‘don’t you see the destruction America has done to the rest of the world?’ and my response was ‘I see America as the greatest force for good in the entire world’. He was speechless We have our work cut out for ourselves.

Remember, Gore conceded defeat to Bush, then when more votes for him came in, he took back his concession of defeat.

Bush mentioned he had already conceded defeat, and Gore’s words were..”Well don’t get SNIPPY about it!”

If I remember correctly, the vote in a certain Florida county was so close, the STATE Supreme Court told them to keep recounting, in violation of some state law that had a time limit on how long before a winner was declared.

So, the SCOTUS stated that Florida MUST abide by Fla Law and declare a winner, which at that time was BUSH.

It could be a series. H-> is out there in moo-moos keeping the storyline going.

They behave exactly like children when they don’t get their way ... if they hissy fit long enough they think the parents will finally give in.

Why shouldn’t they - it’s the way they were raised.
