In stark contrast the laughably absurd claim by the Morning Joe panelists last March that the media barely covered the Stormy Daniels story, Salon.com published an article by Adam Johnson on July 25 revealing that there had been 455 segments about that porn star on MSNBC during the past year. The mocking criticism of the Stormy Daniels overdose of coverage on MSNBC comes from a left perspective since they contrast that sharply with lack of reporting on the war in Yemen which they view as "Trump's war" despite former President Obama also backing Saudi Arabia in that conflict.
Although I knew there was extreme MSNBC over-reporting about Stormy Daniels, even I was quite surprised at the high amount of coverage quantified in the Salon story title, "MSNBC has done 455 Stormy Daniels segments in the last year but none on U.S. war in Yemen."

Think of the poor schmuck who had to count the number of segments.
So that equals one segment per viewer then.
“By now their Stormy Daniels count must exceed at least 500.”
Surely.
Why go to a strip joint to see her. She gets far more exposure on MSNBC and it’s free!
Left on Left cat fight. As they fail will be seeing much more of the same. Love it.
How is Yemen in any way Trumps war? it started years before he was even a candidate
Having recently returned from working in the ME for a good part of the last 3 years, I can say that Yemen was Obama’s mess as much as anyone’s and President Trump is working to clean it up.
Thanks PJ-Comix. Meanwhile Salon is still a POS.
I don’t know that even if you want you want to view MSNBC in the best light, its nothing more than a network focused on national politics. Then you have ratings being a motivator, and then agenda pushing. I do not think this Stormy Daniels stuff is news worthy and the media has enabled her self-promotion.
I don’t watch msnbc and I don’t read salon.
The lack of comprehensive coverage of this administration has been nothing short of incredible. While the media has been firmly committed and tied to the same hysteria of the day, week, month, or quarter, they have ignored an avalanche of consequential news every single day.
Every day there are new announcements of major changes in our government that are part of MAGA and they go unnoticed by almost everyone. In the last two administrations, these were actions that would have been discussed for weeks, but they are ignored for a stripper, a sleazy attorney for the stripper, and the defense of a special counsel investigation. Why? Because Trump is winning bigly. The media does not cover his MAGA changes throughout government and it is easier for the lazy journalist to just stick to the same schtick lest their viewers see the accomplishments.
Trump moves so fast that his own cabinet and insiders cannot even keep up with what is going on. Past presidents juggled three balls at a time and this president has so many balls in the air at any moment that his movements are obscured to them all. Dare I say it..... it is almost by design.
We are not even two years into this administration and he has accomplished more than the last two did in 8 years combined in months and there are no signs of slowing down. The best place to get news on what is really happening is FBN who seem to focus on the real economic changes taking place rather than the tabloid flavor of the day or the Russia, Russia, Russia hypocrisy.
I loved Reagan and he was the benchmark for me, but Trump is well on his way to being the most consequential President in history. The amount of change is astounding and while I try to follow each days events it is simply not possible. There are huge proposals on the table at the WH such as combining the Dept of Labor and Education and they do not even get coverage. The list of significant things is already huge and yet even we, his supporters and news junkies, are unaware of most of it.
Wow. The last guy talked about fundamental transformation yet his Presidency could be listed on a post-card and a medium size book. You could write a book about a day in the life of the Trump WH. His economic team is nothing short of brilliant and his foreign policy team is shining brightly as well. The changes within DoD, a traditionally concrete bureaucracy, are picking up speed. Trump is a master of delegation and he has some key members of his administration who can think outside of the box.
The speed of Trump is too fast for the media, his supporters, and his detractors. I only hope middle America truly appreciates what is happening behind the punditry class on the boob tube. Given 8 years, there is not a rock in D.C. that will look the same and most importantly for me, my kids and grandkids will be better for it.
I agree with everything you wrote. I believe President Trump is a genius...a genius with common sense...not often found in this world. His intelligence so outweighs the media, that they are left at trying to “drink in fire hydrant size” type of information every single day. (I had a professor like him in college.) The media cannot keep up.
In the future people will watch old ‘Morning Joe’ shows with the same horror we experience when watching films of southern racists in the 50’s and early 60’s... expressing totally clueless hate.
That’s the group “Morning Joe” will fit in with... the idiots blocking the school house door...
They really were betting that this story would help them against Trump and the Republicans in the election.
I’m not sure how they failed to notice that everyone has known since the 80s that Trump is a bit of a cad and nobody really cares anymore, but hey, the left is not known for their intellectual discernment.
