President Trump's approval rating among Americans stands at 48 percent, a new poll shows.
The poll from American Barometer, a new joint project by Hill.TV and HarrisX, showed that among those who approve of Trump's job performance, 23 percent did so "strongly" while 25 percent did so "somewhat."
The survey also showed 52 percent disapproved of Trump's performance, with 38 percent doing so "strongly" and 14 percent disapproving "somewhat.” The poll was released on Wednesday's edition of the new online video show "What America's Thinking" with Joe Concha.
Dritan Nesho, a pollster and CEO of HarrisX, said the new findings show Trump's approval ratings have not been hit by the recent barrage of negative news. Trump also remains a polarizing figure ahead of the midterms in November.

Proof positive that we have over half of our citizens who are brain dead!
I wonder what it is among registered voters and likely voters.
“The results are then weighted for age within gender, region, race/ethnicity, marital status, household size, income, employment, education, political party and political ideology where necessary to align them with their actual proportions in the population.”
It would be interesting to see what those weights are. Traditionally, they botch them to the left. There may also be a bias toward urban voters that they don’t attempt to correct for.
Almost 50%. When a poll comes out with over 50% approval for President Trump, Trump Derangement Syndrome is going to hit a higher gear.

Never gets to fifty. Obama never went under fifty. It’s propaganda.
What does “Somewhat disaprove” mean?
I disapproved of PDJT’s bombing in Syria. I disagree with him on the ethanol subsidies. If I looked there are probably a couple of other areas where I would not support his positions as well. Would I be listed in the “Somewhat Disapprove” group when I have been on the Trump train since the beginning?
“Somewhat Disapprove” does not mean those people would not vote for him and, in fact, depending upon who was running against him many probably would. Once again, using myself as an example: I would vote for anybody or any thing rather than Satan’s Prom Queen. It does not matter whether I approve of PDJT or not (Even though I do)
Maybe 10% - this is just adults - not even registered voters, say nothing of likely voters.
I’m sure that the Hill polled 10 to 25% more democrats, communists, socialists and Nazis.
I’m of the opinion that Trump’s approval rating is near 60 percent, and that Obuma’s approval rate never rose beyond 40 percent during his entire presidency.
I am surprised that they didn’t append the words ‘damn it’ to the title.
