FReeper’s buying stock in the global cabal’s personal profile mining operation? I don’t think so.

The fad has passed. It’s become the place where grannies share recipes and geezers share fart jokes.

All the cool kids have gone elsewhere, cause they don’t want granny seeing their beer pong selfies.

I agree. Facebook, google etc. have been going up and down for years. So far they have always gone back up. Not bitcoins.

The young people are almost gone and it’s full of middle aged women posting vacation pics and virtue signaling.

And cat pics...lots and lots of cat pics...

Facebook’s business model is dying, it was designed as a central meeting place for friends and family. But now with everybody owning a smartphone you can do the same things, post pictures and communicate with messenger and other apps with much more privacy, if you don't want you boss to see your vacation photos, you just leave them off of that particular group. Besides most people don't want to be tied down in front of a computer, while you can use Facebook on your phone it's cumbersome.

The kids hate Facebook, because it is used by gross old people, like their parents

The Millenials hate Facebook, because they need to keep up with the latest thing, and that ain’t Facebook

The Working Generation hates facebook because it censors their content, manipulates their newsfeeds, and wastes their time with nonsense

Grandma loves Facebook. Unfortunately, she forgot how to turn on the computer

From “Facebook” to “Face Palm” and empty wallets. Good!

Myspace lost its market when it added more ads, added 13 -17 year old millennials, and sold out to Fox-NewsCorp.

I gotta say, though, when I was going through a job search, I found Facebook very useful.

I created a profile that was the profile of an ideal candidate for the job for which I was applying. When my eventual employer checked my “Social Media”, they found just what I wanted them to find.

You can’t buy that kind of endorsement. Worked like a charm.

By the time News Corp bought My Space it was already in decline as Facebook was the new fad on the block and people were going there. News Corp overpaid and then had to write the whole thing off after a couple of short years.

Myspace when agitprop before fakebook did.

Back in 2005-2006 they sold a full screen that displayed everytime after login. It was from MoveOn.ClintonSoros and called out Booosh over the Katrina flooding in NOLA.

Newscorp didn’t buy Myspace until they went public and soon dumped it but the cool kids all ran away to facebook.

Newscorp execs endorsed Kerry over Bush in 2004.

I have a lot of email accounts. But it’s different. Think of it as OneNote versus word.

“created an account because I live in Kentucky and all my family is all over the country. It was a way to stay in touch with everyone.”

Email, text, voice call, Skype, and good old fashioned letter writing.

They keep convincing people to stay away from Facebook. They succeeded with me about a decade ago. Maybe it was Russian bots disguised as friends that I like very much but don’t want to chat with ‘til 3 am?

Facebook does have a strong play on the youth market with Instagram, which is currently hugely popular.

It is a good way to keep track of family and old friends and I have. Course it does offer the opportunity for a good fight which is also fun’

I figured this was coming since I am using it less and less and am sure that is a general reaction.
