I have owned a 1970 Plymouth 440 Cuda Convertible, and a 1970 Plymouth 440 six-barrel 4-speed GTX in Hemi Orange with a Air-Grabber Hood. My high school car was a 1971 383 Magnum Dodge Charger SE. I have been a professional automotive restoration specialist for over forty years and love every Mopar Minute of it.

Highways in the Sky has been on the FAA planning board for over 30 years. I participated in it back in 1988 and again recently.

The problem is that technology is not where it needs to be for manned autonomous flight. Not even close.

I knew about the Volantor two decades ago, and watched some of their testing videos.
This would be a viable concept, but there seems to be two things that puts the kibosh to the dream of the flying car:

Government regulations

Driver stupidity
