Israel must launch a concerted effort to eliminate Hamas’ leadership to deter the terror group from continuing its use of airborne incendiary devices and rocket attacks against Israel, a senior Israeli lawmaker says, arguing that the current security situation along the Gaza border cannot be allowed to continue.
Beginning on March 30th, tens of thousands of Gaza rioters attacked Israel’s border fence in a series of orchestrated attempts to breach the border. Dubbed the “March of Return”, the riots included attempts by armed terrorists to infiltrate into Israeli territory, and attacks by rioters on IDF soldiers deployed to protect the border.
In recent weeks, the size and frequency of the riots have declined – while a new form of terror – dubbed “kite terrorism” has emerged. Using kites, balloons, and even birds to carry incendiary devices into Israeli territory, cells of Hamas-aligned terrorists have launched thousands of incendiary attacks on Israeli targets, causing millions of dollars of damage.

In this post, Hamas promised to reduce the attacks. The probable reason is that the Israelis have told them that they would start attacking back. I will bet that Israel knows were every Hamas operative lives and is at any moment. (Attention Hamas: Any time somebody offers you a steeply discounted price for an iPhone, you should look at them with a jaundiced eye and say, no.)
Make them disappear with one laser guided bomb.
Attacks that breach the fence and cause casualties should automatically result in the fence being moved, and land being annexed permanently. Innocent landowners should be compensated for their loss, and their property bulldozed.
Hamas doesn’t care about the loss of life, so killing the kids who launch attacks, even killing the odd Hamas leader, will not change anything. The only thing that will get their attention is the loss of territory.
I’m pretty sure that a squad of off the shelf hobby drones could take out kites,birds, and balloons.
Of course the best solution is for the Israeli’s to use their weather control machine (that IRAN says Israel uses to steal clouds) to get the wind to carry the kites,birds, and balloons back the way they came.

Yes they do. Every once in awhile there is an article with something like “Hamas leader Abdul and three associates were killed when the vehicle they were riding in was destroyed the day after Hamas rockets were fired onto the town of Itbutz striking a school and two homes.”

It’s harder than one would think.
There is very little to shoot. It’s not like they have an engine. And they can take a lot of damage and still float along.
Moreover, when hit they drop their payload promptly, thereby starting a fire.
They also have near zero radar signature and are hard to see (esp at night).
All-in-all, it’s brilliant in its simplicity.
Laser weapons (which would have little or no collateral effect) are being considered to cheaply detonate the payload in the air.

Thanks. Maybe the Israeli policy should be, for each rocket attack the border and all imports will be suspended for one day. For each murder, the imports will be suspended for one week. For multiple murders you can all die and rot in Hell.
