Correction: Trump Did Not Absolve Russians of Meddling
American Thinker ^ | 07/17/2018 | Tom Trinko

Posted on 07/17/2018 7:35:43 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Donald Trump did not say the Russians didn't meddle in the U.S. election.  Remember that when you read heated statements from leftist shills or people like Jeff Flake and John McCain.  The left is in full lie mode, and leftists will say anything while assuming that their audience will never actually hear the truth.

Here's what really happened.  First Trump said:

During today's meeting, I addressed directly with President Putin the issue of Russian interference in our elections.

I felt this was a message best delivered in person.  I spent a great deal of time talking about it and President Putin may very well want to address it and very strongly, because he feels very strongly about it and he has an interesting idea.

Trump later followed up with this:

I have great confidence in my intelligence people but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today and what he did is an incredible offer.

He offered to have the people working on the case come and work with their investigators, with respect to the 12 people.  I think that's an incredible offer.  OK?

Trump never said the Russians didn't meddle – only that he discussed the issue with Putin and Putin denied it.  Putin appears to be ready to back his claim up by providing Robert Mueller access to the 12 supposed hackers.

Putin could be lying, but nothing Trump said boils down to "the Russians didn't meddle."  Rather, Trump was being diplomatic and didn't directly call Putin a liar.

That’s your vindication? Putin offers to send his hackers into the CIA? Fantastic offer, really!

McCain is a flake and so is Flake. Both are pi$$ed at the results of the election as they saw something different for themselves if Hillary got elected.

No, Putin offered to host Mueller investigators in Russia to question the 12 hackers.

If Putin wants to send the 12 here to answer the charges I think they have little to fear. A good lawyer will blow-up Muller’s bullship work pretty quickly. He rolled the dice on never having to defend the charges in court.

Bingo plus Trump has steadfastly stood up to Russia. But we have such childish cowards at all levels whyi can’t wait to run at the first liberal shot.

Since the Deep State tools that are investigating the “collusion” are traitors themselves against America, bringing them over to Russia to investigate would be a rare opportunity for Putin to put them on his payroll, if they are not there already. Seems like the thing an ex-KGB agent would do.

You should read before reply. Putin offered to have US investigators come to Russia and work with Russian agencies to investigate the 12.

Think they’ll give Mueller the uranium samples he gave them? :)

“McCain is a flake and so is Flake. Both are pi$$ed at the results of the election as they saw something different for themselves if Hillary got elected.”

The only “better news” would be that AZ was on track to give the country a pair of real conservatives as their Senators, and not the $hit they’ve been trying to pass of as conservatives for decades. Don’t they have another Barry Goldwater or two?

What the article didn't say: He added: "With that being said, all I can do is ask the question. My people came to me … They said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin. He just said it's not Russia."I will say this," Trump said. "I don't see any reason why it would be."

So who did he trust. By those comments, who did he trust? His people or Putin.

I’m still waiting to hear Exactly how the Russians interfeared in our elections.
Did they illegally cast votes? Change the count? Destroy ballots? Send in unredistered uneledgable voters? What exactly did the effect?

The DNC did all of the above and that apparently is fine

There Is no proof of hacking at all, although we are supposed to believe there was for some reason. But let’s pretend there was hacking, how did that change anything.

I guess I’m just a bit dense, because I don’t get the accusation at all.

Let’s put it this way. There will be no statues for courageous GOP congressmen erected in our generation. What a bunch of cowards. They have no one’s back…but they will scratch a donor’s back.

This is all a moot point. Trump could have said he was going to bomb Russia, to teach them to stay out of our elections, and the screaming would have been just as loud.

Trump's damned if he does.........and damned if he doesn't.

I'll be the first one to bust his chops when I think he screws up, but I don't see how he blew it this time. I have no idea what they talked about in private, or what information might have been shared........but what good does it do in our fight against Islamic terrorists, to publicly call Putin a liar?

Beyond that, I keep thinking....who the hell are all these people who are yapping like ankle dogs? Could even one of them get elected to the White House because Americans have faith in their decisions?

I think not...............

The press was going to go with this narrative no matter what Trump said or did.

I think he's trusting his own judgment. Because neither Team Mueller or Team Putin is being honest.

The offer actually was we can interrogate and you allow us the same courtesy for our cases you can be present while we do.mueller has nothing and doesn’t have the goal of getting to the truth so this would never happen. Mueller is running, in some ways, the relationship with Russia

I watched the first half of the Putin interview with Chris Wallace, and he said essentially the same thing. “All that was done was that a certain person’s emails were revealed to the public.” (Then he added that we have a treaty and if there is a suspicion of something like this, they are supposed to notify Russia and allow them to help investigate, but no one notified them.)

This is the real issue. Democrats are not opposed to Islamic terrorists, and they do not want Trump and Putin working together against them.
