Ya get a LOT longer range, though at expense of accuracy.
If you've a few apple trees; some quite nice 'grenades' can be made by poking a #2 Philips into an apple; stuffing a firecracker in it.
A bunch of friends(?) and/or relatives; some beer(naturally) and a couple of buckets full of 'bombs' makes for a fun afternoon delight!!
Until; of course; the inevitable loss of an eye occurs...

You can boost the range by breaking off 2 to 3 inches of the stick.
They can be lit and thrown, quite effectively.
I think a better term would be negative information voter. These people have a lot of information, but most of it is false.
Or 2 sticks can be removed;
then 3 taped together,
the fuses twisted together;
lit and flung.

Many years ago a buddy of mine’s father owned a junk yard. Every once and awhile they get a car that was still running and in pretty good shape, so he’d put on a dealer plate they had(it was all legal) and we’d use. One summer , (this was in the late 70’s) he had a ‘64 Buick Electra, a four door. when the doors were closed they had a shape to them that made a kind of channel almost five feet long. Well it didn’t take us long to figure out that you could lay a bottle rocket in there, light it and man, did that thing take off! Went for blocks before it blew up. There we’d be tooling down the main street in town on a Saturday night, drinking some beers and if we saw a car ahead of us full of some kids we knew , we’d fire away!
