Game, set, match.
++++++++++++++
Yes - Almost. Mueller is evil but he’s not stupid enough to take Putin’s offer? But it was a great ploy by Putin.

My scenario puts Trump on the spot. Would Putin actually answer the Trump demands with a “We will if you will”.

He might. He might not.

If you were Trump, would you take that chance?

I wouldn’t. High risk. Low payoff. Sends our relationship with Russia heading down. And mostly it would not change the MSM reaction to the summit. They would just pick another of Trump’s “Mistakes” to focus on.

After Newt and contract with America win Newt spit on the black conservative by going hat in hand to Jesse Jackson and NALBP as if the were the sole representative of black people.

Thanks EdnaMode. Regurgitation of DNC talking points by the partisan media shills, Demwits, and RINOs, is what is going on.

watching it today on NBC, I turned to CNN shortly after the presser then to MSNBC.

I was amazed - but not surprised - that within minutes of the press conference concluding, all were singing the same song, the same bullet points, and the same outrage.

I told the spousal unit that this was all staged days beforehand and was a coordinated response.

Didn’t George W Bush say he could see Putin’s soul & have Putin to his ranch in Crawford, Texas? Nobody accused him of Treason.....but it bothers one that the same Bush people who got accused of “outing a spy” & perpetrating 9-11 will distance themselves from Trump because they hope to gain favor with the same press that hates & lies about any & every Republican.People voted for Obama because they wanted “change” but when he didn’t turn out to be as advertised, people took a chance on Trump. Democrats can’t define him & label him in a way that will stick.....and it’s driving them crazy. The press just does not have the power they once did when there were just 3 TV networks & no Internet.

That was the final straw for Newt. He should never be trusted again.

Scary thing is these republicans have no courage no perspective, no loyalty, and they can’t wait even an hour before they run their mouths.

As many others have pointed out, Trump has an unbroken history of the toughest actions against Russia. Don’t you think these fools could say, well I didn’t like the president’s statement but keep in mind he consistently has been tough on Putin??

Instead they run with the crowd that accused our president of treason! Do they really think the president doesn’t have a right to speak his mind, or that he’s a traitor because he didn’t spit in Putin’s face?

And the people saying he should have humiliated Putin are absolute idiots. I saw a tape of Obama exactly stating that doesn’t work with the Russians.

Drudge can go to hell as well, picturing a defeated Trump and running ridiculous left wing stories.

Tell me, how has the “White House struggled to show Trump stands up to Russia” when the first thing he did was fire missiles at them in Syria, then repeated the action, and is hell bent against their ally Iran, among many other tough actions. Why do I have to read leftist fantasies instead of reality.

didn’t meddle for Trump, but did meddle for Clinton:

16 Jul: NYT: Who Is Bill Browder, Kremlin Foe Singled Out in Putin’s Offer?
By Michael Schwirtz and Kenneth P. Vogel
(Michael Schwirtz reported from London, and Kenneth P. Vogel from Washington. Sewell Chan contributed reporting from New York, Andrew E. Kramer from Moscow and Katie Rogers from Helsinki, Finland)
Mr. Putin on Monday detailed on television a variation of some of the allegations that the lawyer, Natalia V. Veselnitskaya, brought to the Trump Tower meeting — namely that some of Mr. Browder’s associates had funneled $400 million to the Clinton campaign with money illegally moved out of Russia.

“Business associates of his have earned over $1.5 billion in Russia,” Mr. Putin said. “They never paid any taxes. Neither in Russia nor in the United States. Yet the money escaped the country. They were transferred to the United States. They sent huge amounts of money, $400 million, as a contribution to the campaign of Hillary Clinton.”

Additionally, Mr. Putin declared, “we have solid reason to believe that some intelligence officers accompanied and guided these transactions.”...

Mr. Trump later called Mr. Putin’s suggestion of an investigative quid pro quo “an incredible offer,” though how such reciprocity would work was unclear. Mr. Browder long ago gave up his American passport in favor of British citizenship...

In a phone interview on Monday, Mr. Browder said that Mr. Putin’s denunciation was just another sign of the Kremlin’s unhappiness with the Magnitsky Act, a 2012 law that Mr. Browder championed, in which the United States imposed sanctions against Russia...
Out of safety concerns, Mr. Browder, who holds a British passport, would not say where he was located...

It was not clear from where Mr. Putin derived the $400 million figure, or whether he was referring to the Ziffs or possibly other donors as well. Former Clinton campaign officials did not respond to requests for comment...

16 Jul: GatewayPundit: PUTIN DROPS BOMB AT HELSINKI PRESSER: Says US Intelligence Helped Move $400,000,000 to HILLARY Campaign!! (VIDEO)
by Jim Hoft
For instance we can bring up Mr. Browder… They sent a huge amount of money $400,000,000 to Hillary Clinton!...
Bill Browder’s grandfather was head of the Communist Party USA.
The Russian government put Browder on the Interpol most wanted list in 2017...
Browder spoke out against Trump meeting with Putin on Sunday...
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/07/putin-blows-apart-russia-collusion-probe-says-russian-group-gave-400000000-to-hillary-clinton-video/

pity the video at GP ends before the final lines:

STAFF: (OFF-MIKE)
QUESTION: And did you direct any of your officials to help him do that?
PUTIN: (THROUGH TRANSLATOR) Yes, I did. Yes, I did. Because he talked about bringing the U.S.-Russia relationship back to normal..

Kasich demanded Trump apologize and state “I will listen to my intelligence people.” Yeah, like JFK did before the Bay of Pigs “cakewalk”?

One of the things I immediately noticed during yesterday’s media coverage of the Helsinki summit is that Putin was continually referred to as a “dictator” or a “strongman” ... two words I never seem to remember being associated with him when GWB and Obama were in the White House.
