I believe this judge is from Hawaii and was appointed the 9th Circuit. Not sure if it was one of Trump’s better appointments. I wonder who recommended him for the position and why.

Republican defectors said Mr. Bennett is hostile toward gun rights and free speech.
Mr. Bennett, a former Hawaii attorney general now nominated to the 9th Circuit, had backed a limited interpretation of Second Amendment rights — an interpretation that was later rejected by the Supreme Court.

It’s a very simple and easy rule to follow. Never, ever appoint anyone from Hawaii to any governmental office unless surfing is a part of the job description.
