To be fair, it’s hard not to win. The trade deficit is massive. We risk very few trade streams in order to secure, pretty basically, a level playing field.
We aren’t asking for the tables turned, where we impose 40% tariffs on their autos coming into the US.
We’re asking for a zeroing. That’s it. And relief from onerous, imposed trade regulations designed to discourage entry into the Chinese market.
From 45’s point of view, its a layup.
