DHS Refuses to ‘Reunite’ Children with Adults Who Aren’t Their Parents

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) held a joint call Tuesday to announce their efforts to comply with a June 26 federal court ruling mandating children under five years old in HHS custody be “reunited” with parents if they were separated at the border. U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw, in response to an American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) lawsuit, set a July 10 deadline to reunite the families and refused to provide additional time for the government to use DNA testing to determine if the people in question are even the 102 identified children’s parents.

Nevertheless, the government, in its Tuesday “Joint Status Report” notes that in at least 14 of the 102 children’s cases, they will not be “reuniting” them with parents because the adults in question are either not actually their parents, have been convicted of serious crimes, including rape and murder, or have been credibly accused of child abuse. The government will not place children with adults without completing these checks.

“Let me be clear: HHS could have transferred every child out of our care to a parent who is currently in DHS custody today if we did not take into account child safety or whether the adult is actually the parent,” HHS Chief of Staff Chris Meekins, told reporters.

In such cases, do what's right and let the chips fall where they may. Here that means not giving kids to adults who are known to not be their parents and who may have been kidnapping or abusing them.

U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw, in response to an American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) lawsuit, set a July 10 deadline to reunite the families and refused to provide additional time for the government to use DNA testing to determine if the people in question are even the 102 identified children’s parents.

We have a political issue at stake here!

WE don’t have time to worry about the safety of children!

Now get it done!

To paraphrase Andrew Jackson, "Dana Sabraw has made his decision: now let him enforce it!"

Someone PLEASE explain this to me.

  1. Some criminal amigo is cooling his heels in jail.
  2. Some judge orders children to be reunited with their parents.
  3. Mister Amigo is released from jail.
  4. Kid is reunited with Mister Amigo.
Does that apply to Americans in jails in prisons too? I mean, if you have kids then you get out of jail free?

This ball is in President Trump's court. Is this another ploy to entrap President Trump? Were it not for the leftist news networks, "antifa", Maxine, Schmucky, and the rest of the circus, I'm sure President Trump would just ignore the judge.

So why does the AMERICAN Civil Liberties Union protect the “rights” of other country’s children? They have ZERO constitutional rights. Wouldn’t it be truly amazing if the ACLU protected American children?

In other words, the Trump administration refuses to give children to human slave traders and pedophile sex traffickers who claim to be parents when the DNA does not match.

Given this group of 102 children is a random sample, if 5% of the children were brought by persons not their parents, and 8% were brought by persons wanted for child abuse or criminal charges, that means an average of 13% of crossing children on any given day are at imminent risk and we have even more reason to control who comes across our border. And to ensure that these at risk children are returned to the custody of their home governments.

In the meantime, we've got the ACLU whining that DNA testing is an invasion of privacy and a threat to family unity and a federal judge trying to limit DNA testing as a ‘last resort’ but refusing to extend the time minors are housed to allow for verification of paper documentation with foreign consulates.

Wait a minute! You mean "ACLU" stands for "American Civil Liberties Union"?

And all this time I thought it stood for "American Criminal Liberties Union".

Ignore this idiot judge the way Democrats ignore subpoenas from Congress. Tell her to go to hell and call out her own army.

And the ACLU seems to be operating in an opposite manner. They need to be sued out of existence.
