I just tell the cashier that I’ll give them my personal IOU.

I can not count the times that I’ve been held up at checkout behind a malfunctioning card.

But when I plunk down my cash with exact change the only problem is with public school grads that can’t count money.

Look for paper checks to fade out over time.

Quite a few years ago a national chain that sells women’s clothing in malls announced they were going cashless. It didn’t take more than a week before they were told that cash was legal tender and they couldn’t not accept it.

I wonder what has changed since that time to allow companies to not accept cash?

“-——the only problem is with public school grads that can’t count money.”

Then why on earth do you hold up the line again by asking the cashiers where they attended school?

I’d be interested in knowing that also.

I try not to carry a lot of money on me for my safety. I do the card thing.

I wonder how that will square with those Christians in regards to the end times?

What am I supposed to do,

Well you can worry a lot but that won't stop the march to a cashless society, it is coming. Not to mention I am pretty sure the Bible predicted this some time ago.

Of course, the only folks still writing checks in public are elderly.

They day is coming when you will be that irritating old person in the line. Believe me age gets us all if we live long enough. 😀

Disagree. There has been a lot of talk for a long time, but when you get down to the mechanics of implementation, it is virtually impossible without posing great risk to the public.

Personally, I think it is really a dumba$$ thing to do to walk around without $150+ in your pocket. It has gotten me out of difficult circumstances several times.

It wasn't possible before advanced computers and internet, now it is possible, simple as that.

They will promise to put drug dealers, banks and crooked politicians out of business that will be the hook. I don't particularly approve just know that it is coming with or without my approval. Of course barter will always be available until your children are fully trained to fink you out.

"THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE".

Someone needs to sue the toll roads that have gone EZPass Only.

I ONLY PAY CASH at most times. No stupid debit cards.

I get pissed off at these old dudes at the grocery store who dont even know how to use the card system. A year ago, this old lady asked what a ‘PIN” was at the clerk and everyone at the line just rolled their eyes..

Read the article that it will affect people who do not have bank accounts the most.

Look at the advantages of cashless. For every transaction, a trail for the government, a trail for the big data marketers, a percentage for the banksters.

What I see coming is organizations like community groups setting money related services like credit unions.

“I see paper checks going away.”

Yep,they will disappear in the mail——or a wastebasket.

That happened to me recently-—so I paid on-line,a payment that included a late fee because they never received the check that had been mailed.
