It's not strange to me. They are probably in awful condition and may be psychologically affected. I cannot imagine spending that much time in a pitch dark cave, much of that time alone and not knowing if rescue would ever come, and then having to go through that extraction process at the end. They've got to be traumatized to some extent - I know I would be.
When the actual operation started, they kicked the media out of the area. I haven’t kept up much since then, but that might be why.
