I had serious trepidation about Trump, I figured he would be a fox in the hen house. I have been pleasantly surprised. Roll on buddy! MAGA!!

IF you could isolate one thing, what was it that made have this 'serious trepidation'?

Go back and watch the video where he announced his candidacy. The very first thing he said (after introductions) was “Our problem in America is that we don’t win anymore.” MAGA is another way to “America is going to win again.”

LOL

I agreed with you totally, but you had best don your flame retardant suit, the Holy Rollers will be here shortly, and they make the Taliban look like wimps.

Great insightful post.

Who the Hell is a poser? Some of us had legitimate concerns over a candidate that had supported liberal democrats in the recent past. Just because this particular candidate didn’t immediately swerve back to the left doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have been pointing that out. Trump so far is doing better than I expected but he isn’t perfect. It is important to keep an eye on all of his administration’s policies. Anytime they step out of line ideologically someone needs to point it out. This isn’t a personality cult, although some of you seem to think it is.

Would your prior posts on candidate Trump make you a 'poser'? IF I were really that curious I would look back to see what you were posting in 2015 - 2016... Your present words tell me I do not need to. The biggest thing you ignored regarding candidate Trump was he continually expressed 'we the people' are government. NO other of the bevy of candidates ever said as much.. The majority were only concerned with their principal... even though some in particular used the word 'principle'.

“Some of us had legitimate concerns over a candidate that had supported liberal democrats in the recent past.”

Trump is a man who made his money in construction. His headquarters is in NYC. If you had the first clue what is involved in the permitting process in that very liberal city you would understand WHY he said and did what he did as he built his fortune.

I believe that your over-simplified definitions are way, way off, in several ways, especially today.

If Democrats are successful in changing things, and Republicans do not change it back, then the Democrats win, permanently, every time they make any change. That's absurd. Pres Trump has changed back many, many, many Democrat initiatives, and he has been more successful than any President in modern times.

Further, you grossly mischaracterize the Democrats' goal. They want, and have been openly pursuing, ever-increasing permanent centralized power, for decades. They do not care if we become a pure Democracy, and in point of fact, they don't want one. THEY want the control over every decision, they do not want to give that decision-making over the minutiae to the mob.

Additionally, we are SO far from being a proper (Free) Republic anymore that we MUST advocate and fight for change.

And the current Democrat Part IS openly an enemy to the United States. They say so, quite often. Michelle Obama had never been proud to be an American, the Obama's attend a "church" that preaches "God Damn America", the Left wants to Fundamentally Change EVERY aspect of America, they give literal preference to non-Americans over Americans in many ways, they limit our military and economy with every possible action, they disdain our culture and tear it to shreds on a daily basis, they eschew anything that encourages a love of our country, etc etc etc etc. If you cannot see all of that going on around us, you are willfully ignorant. There can be no other explanation.

As a Christian, I was stunned by how ignorant and skeptical many of our fellow believers were. Trump consistently said things like “I’ll be the best friend the Christians ever had.” and “I will say Merry Christmas, not happy holidays.” He said these type of things consistently, in different wordings, without a teleprompter or written speech. That told me he was speaking from his heart. He even told a group of Christian leaders that they should be the most powerful voting block but don’t care or are too divided.

EOs only apply to federal workers. They can’t possibly be used or interpreted in the way you wish.

No EO in the history of this country was followed by any non-federal government employee. No EO creates any rights or opportunities between states.

Really? All it takes is one 3-word phrase for you to commit total obedience to a candidate, even when there are plenty of areas of concern (most especially an utter lack of any track record)? It must be nice to be so easily led.

You, I, and all of America, got exceptionally lucky that our President has acted as he has thus far (with occasional exceptions)... but that does not mean that in 2015-16 that he was a clear choice for those wishing to restore the nation. He was a hyper-wealthy D-list celebrity with a loud mouth occasionally spouting the right buzzwords, nothing more. There are plenty of those around, and most would be horrible choices for President (Mark Cuban, the Kardashians, etc).

"Cortez, kind of an obscure 28-year-old who won an election with 20% turnout"

A "hispanic" woman won a Democrat primary in a "hispanic" ghetto in the most blue, liberal city in America. Wow! Who wudda thunk it?

we are lucky to have President Trump. This country would of been destroyed if Hillary had won. the military was contemplating intervening in the Obama presidency and arresting both Obama and Hillary for treason. if that had happened it would of destroyed the United States. I am positive that within a year that Hillary would of caused the same problem with the Military. I don’t think that Trump originally wanted to run for the presidency I believe that he was convinced to by Admiral Rogers and a few Childhood friends from high school who became high ranking Military officers... one thing a lot of people forget about Donald Trump is that he went to a private school that prepares kids for military service. Lots of his high school classmates became officers in the Army and the navy. When he says he wanted to serve but couldn’t unlike a lot of other politicians I believe it is the truth.

Trump and the military are cleaning house expect a real shit storm the next 6 years because the damage that was done to the united states by the cabal in Washington goes back to Woodrow Wilson with brief periods when they did not have a strangle hold on the presidency.

"...most of the anti-abortion crowd ..." has been pushing and winning incremental victories for 40+ years.

The big picture is revealed by the detestable but accurate Guttmacher Institute, here (LINK)

.

395

The number of abortion restrictions passed by states since 2011, after a Republican “wave” election swept through statehouses across the country.

`

90 percent

The percentage of all US counties that lacked an abortion clinic in 2014; 39 percent of women aged 15-44 lived in those counties.

`

Thank God for the pro-life movement, because they never give up.

The fact that Trump has achieved this high of a conservative rating, while experiencing an unprecedented attack from the Oligarchy, speaks for itself.

Christians came out “bigly” for Trump. White evangelical voters voted for Donald Trump, 80-16 percent.

There are posers and there are those with poor perception. Based on your response, you appear to be the latter.

And every time any law fails to pass it’s a win for the Republicans.

So you are a socialist, big government, New Deal, Great Society person that's happy with the status quo and doesn't want change.

I, on the other hand, want new laws that will roll things back.

You may want to stay in the trenches and defend what little is left of America. I want to take the fight to the enemy and regain territory inch by inch.

Actually, now that you asked, I thought initially candidate Trump announcement was a joke. I was initially for Scott Walker, but he went full RINO... It was the first Phoenix, AZ rally, (Jul 11, 2015) when candidate Trump turned the stage over to the people whose loved ones were slaughtered by Obama and lying Ryan's illegals... No other GOPe candidate would have turned their stage over to a Jamiel Shaw Sr., and it was then and there I knew candidate Trump was different.

You, I, and all of America, got exceptionally lucky that our President has acted as he has thus far (with occasional exceptions)... but that does not mean that in 2015-16 that he was a clear choice for those wishing to restore the nation. You were not paying attention to Trump rallies. Yeah, he was so 'rich' he funded his own campaign... that in and of itself dispelled any suggestion he was a typical 'rich' liberal or RINO... The rest of the candidates were out begging for dollars so they could be somebody.

“I don’t think President Trump is liberal or conservative, in the conventional sense. He is a practical man who’s goal is to turn this country around.”

that’s very true. trump has always obviously never been a conventional ideologue, which actually attracted MANY new voters who would not have voted for a “true conservative” ideolgy, and that is one of the reasons Trump actually managed to get elected.

Trump is essentially a populist, but with a very strong conservative bent, ironically substantially MORE conservative than any of the so-called “true conservatives”, who were never anything more than masked globalist elitists anyway.

even today, Trump doesn’t label himself, he just goes out there and says what he believes and what he’s going to do and then does the things he says he was going to do ... all without labels ... being the master persuader, Trump knows that labels not only do not help, but are all negative targets because they all are over-loaded with historic emotional meanings that trigger negative emotional responses ...

Trump doesn’t even use traditional labels to label his enemies, but instead prefers to make up new ones without previous meaning, labels such as “low energy Jeb”,”little Marco”, and “low IQ Maxine” ... these are unique and captivating labels that allow people to attach their own meanings to since they have no prior meanings ... and they are not accidental or off the cuff, they are deliberate parts of Trump’s persuasion arsenal, an arsenal the likes of which Americans have not seen in any of their politicians for many decades ...
