Tomi Lahren: Pushing to Overturn Roe v. Wade Would Be a 'Big Mistake'
FN Insider ^ | 7/7/2018 | Tomi Lahren

Pressing for a Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade would be a big mistake.

Yes, the new high court vacancy is a huge opportunity for conservative values and principles, I get it. And I understand the passion behind the pro-life movement.

Gotta say, and I understand we have a lot of pro-life Freepers, I agree with this young lady. Government has a role to play but regulating social issues is where it fails miserably. That includes allowing Gays and Trans to serve in the Armed Forces.

On the pro-life/pro-choice issue; our elected congress should decide if that's a federal issue or a states issue then vote accordingly. Another option is a compromise that keeps showing up; the 20 week rule.

This is not the time to over step. Play it smart and we will keep winning for another 6+ years.

I liked President Trump's statement that he didn't even know if he was going to ask a potential nominee about abortion.

Personally, I'm more concerned with where they stand on the 1st, 2nd, and 10th Amendments.

I agree with Tomi. Whatever women do with their baby, let God judge. Not us. Conservatives need to stop talking about gay marriage and abortion. It’s not going to convert new votes. Focus on crime, race, jobs, immigration, inner city schools.

Isn’t mostly Democrats talking about overturning Roe V. Wade?

Roe v Wade is bad “law”

It is a “social issue” forced down the throats of Americans by five unelected goons in black robes

The same for “gay marriage”

It needs to end.

+++++

We lose when we start messing with social issues.

Unless the mother’s life is in jeopardy, abortion is murder with one of the cruelest and most selfish of motives....convenience. Can’t find a right to “convenience killings” in the 1st amendment.

Really? You honestly believe that? Where do you draw the line? If a mother kills her infant hours after birth, is that just between her and God?

Headline from 1950: “Overturning Plessy vs. Ferguson would be a big mistake.”

‘Whatever women do with their baby, let God judge.’

Roe v Wade has been around for 45 years, and continues apace;
seems God has given his judgment...

Then let God pay for "whatever," not me.

If they want their abomination abortions with no fear of God then good luck to them. Murdered babies go to heaven. Zero tax dollars for abortions- ZERO. Let some rich LIEberals finance the slaughtering so precious to their wicked hearts.

You either believe in the constitution or you don’t.

Can you show me where in our constitution this issue is made clear?

Of course I believe in it. That isn't the issue you here unless you are a one-issue voter and abortion is your issue.

I agree. Abortion will never be outlawed. If it were to be outlawed the number of abortions would not decrease. We just wouldn’t hear about them. With that said, I’m against abortion so flames will not be acknowledged.

Completely agree with this. No taxpayer money should ever pay for anyone's abortion unless it's a life threatening issue covered under medicaid or something along those lines.

There are plenty of wealthy leftists who can donate their money to pay for poor people in this regard.

This devaluation of human life is at the root of most of our problems. A human being has the right to live, period. No one on earth can take that right from them. I agree in incremental victories, but the goal is clear and unchangeable.

If it is so controversial, then put it back where it was originally, and then leave it alone. The govey regulated social issues to give us this ruling, so then reverse it and leave it alone.

The truth is overturning RvW will make no difference. It will go back to the states. There’s not one state that will ban abortions. The issue is a weapon to keep true conservatives off the SC.

If you believe aborting a child is murder and it’s done because the mother’s life is in danger, it’s still murder.

Personality I think any exemption shows a lack of true belief. Either abortion is murder or it isn’t.
