I’m a healthcare worker and we get tested yearly. Having said that, with air travel we’re minutes away from an epidemic of just about anything.
“A tube of tuberculosis?! Gotta find a new tube handler”
Good odds it was a Baltimore City high school grad.
Was the ‘controllee’ wearing a MAGA hat? ... regardless, the only result will be a declaration that there was a lack of additional federal funding... and so forth.
I think “Tube of TB” would be a good moniker on some forums.
Microbiology QC day. Was it an H1B recipient? With the dire shortage, and the ability to skip taxes.. lots of foreign microbiologists with equivalent education.
I was breaking ribs coughing. Went to Milwaukee General fro treatment of my ribs. They called next day and asked me to stop in. I did and was immediately marched into the TB ward. After almost a year, they figured out I had Atypical TB. Probably got it gardening. I had a huge patch of Lilies. Not contagious. I lost everything!
j/k ;)
It was a bit too hyperbolic.
I’ve heard of a “case of influenza” but not a “tube of tuberculosis.”
I had a very scary episode of uncontrolled coughing recently. Wheedled prescription cough suppressant out of my GP but now he won’t give me more unless I go in for a checkup. The cough is better but I want to have it on hand, so I guess I will go in.
I usually take Mucinex and it works fine, but that day I took two, which you aren’t supposed to do, and it still wouldn’t stop. The the darn drugstore was screwing up the prescription and driving me wild.
A close friend died of TB years ago. Hmm.
