Parroting the obamys. Watch how far down the ranks the US will fall on the next world education rankings.

No need. A simple review of the applicants social media is often all you need to reveal all one needs to know.

I would gladly help them self-deport to the country of their choice. Can't come back, though.

My survey questions would be:

1) What have your parents taught you about America?

2) What have your professors taught you about America?

My bet would be that the problem gets identified by the disparity between those two answers - not so much that the first is so positive and the second so negative, but more likely that the first is virtually nothing, and the second is a lot of negative somethings.

Hence, nature abhors a vacuum, idle minds are the devil’s playground, and whatever other proverbs would apply. But bottom line, as much as one would like to blame the professors and/or the students themselves, it’s also important not to forget about how to many parents in our generation have abandoned the role of imparting patriotism to our children - either at home, or through parental supervision and pressur at PTA meetings, through the early education experience in grades K-12.

These kids need to get out more. Drop them in any of the two-bit Third-World hellholes on this planet.

My oldest daughter when just out of high school went traveling with a couple friends to dozens of countries. She couldn't believe the rotten conditions everywhere else and gained a new appreciation of being in the USA. As in "it sucks crapping over an open hole in the ground with no privacy and seeing crap everywhere, that passes for good restrooms!". USA, best country on Earth (no walls keeping us in).

“probably some nice little socialist country in Europe.”
Euphoria! Paradise! Heaven!
What these poor kids don’t know is
astounding. Sad to think their eyes
will never open to observe truth.

I think vocational training is the coming trend. People are beginning to catch on that a degree in queer studies doesn't get you much farther than a cot in your parents' basement after graduation. When I was in high school many moons ago, there were multiple vocational options for students who didn't care to explicate e.e. cummings's poetry or study Latin.

The big government/college scam that's leaving uneducated kids with horrendously college loans they can't pay off will turn out to be one of the great scandals in American history.

Schooled beyond their intelligence but sadly lacking in education.

As a side note to this thread, please consider the following.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the referenced NYU students, along with the Campus Reform staff members who asked the students if they are proud of the USA, if asked why the Founding States made the Constitution’s Section 8 of Article I, would respond to the question only with a shrug and an “I don’t know” expression on their faces.
