In its everlasting quest to bring down President Trump, the MSM’s latest best hope is Michael Cohen. In an interview with George Stephanopoulos, Cohen said that he puts “my wife, my daughter and my son have my first loyalty and always will. I put family and country first.”
Trump foes are taking that to imply that, rather than being willing to take the proverbial bullet for Trump, Cohen is considering turning against the President.
On today’s Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough, speaking with Emily Jane Fox, biographer of the Trump children, suggested that Cohen could become Trump’s “John Dean,” the Nixon had who turned state’s evidence and was a key to bringing down Nixon. Fox agreed, suggesting that Cohen could “change the narrative, from being a villain to being a hero,” if he would turn on Trump.

Seems like throwing Manafort in prison is having the desired effect. Wonder if Joe also would support Mueller giving Cohen a script he must read from to avoid the same treatment as Manafort. Of does Joe think Cohen should have the freedom make up his own story.
I wish Joe, or anyone, would let us know what limits they think there should be on Mueller’s authority. I’d guess they think there should be no limits when you are dealing with “literally Hitler”. They probably have no clue which historical figure that makes them look like.

Up until now that hasn’t fazed the dark side. This is about targeting and isolating Trump. It’s no longer about investigation of a suspected crime.
I think you are correct. Cohen is doing the old soft shoe for public consumption. Saying all the right things for Cohen's public image. I don't think Cohen will sell out Trump and he may have nothing to sell out Trump on. The Mueller machine is not that strong. Not that competent. They have already blown it on General Flynn and the Russians (alleged colluders hahaha) who showed up in court demanding a speedy trial date.
He might become YOUR “hero”, Joe...but, if I were him, I wouldn’t be walking the streets alone for a long time.
