Michael Cloud wins special election to fill U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold's seat

Despite nine candidates on the ballot, Republican Michael Cloud drew enough support to win Saturday's special election to fill former U.S. Rep. Blake Farenthold's seat, sparing the GOP a runoff in the 27th District.

With all percent of precincts reporting, Cloud was leading Democrat Eric Holguin 55 percent to 32 percent, according to unofficial returns. Cloud, a former chairman of the Victoria County GOP, needed to finish above 50 percent to avert a runoff later this summer.

The retards on Twitter are trying to spin this as a “huge swing toward the Dems.” Here’s the problem, they are looking only at Cloud’s top line and comparing that to Farenthold’s 2016 numbers.

They ignore or forget that there were 9 candidates in this race and two other GOPers beside Cloud.

When you add up all the GOP vote tonight, it’s 59.8% to 39.1% with about 1% going to INDs and LIBs. In 2016 it was 61.7% GOP and 38.1% Rat.

Basically, there was virtually ZERO swing from 2016 when you factor in non-incumbency.

The tards on Twitter are amazing to behold. Even when they are crushed liked this, they still try to spin it as a win.

More Winning! MAGA! :)

Man, Oh, Man! Every DAY in every WAY we see how 8 years of a LAWLESS 0bama & Crew Admin screwed the pooch for the Dems.

Seats are either going to Pubbies or, to a small degree (NYC 10th District), to far-far Left Socialists and NOT to Establishment Dems!

I love it! :)

John Quincy Adams won the Presidency when he had 88 electoral votes and Andrew Jackson had 99.

That's because there was a four-way split in the electoral college, and the election got thrown into the House of Representatives.

There were charges of deal-making.

But I didn't read in the history books of nationwide riots paid for by George Soros, either.

They’re desperate and delusional. I’m not joking when I say some of them are not sane since Hillary’s loss. Which means watch out for them.

Thanks TexasGurl24. Field of nine, the winning Pubbie got 55% of the total vote, his Demwit challenger got 32%.

So thanks to the good Republicans in his district, we dodged an unnecessary bullet
“thanks” to Farenthold’s inability to control his willie. This is also a byproduct of people staying in a given office for too many years. We deserve better representation. Just hope Cloud can control his sexual impulses for a term or two, then leave.

So we had a guy who had to resign over sexual harassment charges and it only cost the GOP 1.9% !!!
Not only is that not a blue wave; that’s not even a blue ripple!!!

Hmmm. I wonder if Michael Cloud is related to Brother David Cloud, of the Nepal Cloud File? We will have to see if he is "Cloud Material."

The NY10 includes the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx where my Grandparents lived. Still one of the few good neighborhoods left. Sad, but odds are there would be some leftist radical upstart breaking out in a “safe” Dem district.

More likely the so-called “desperate and delusional” left will eat their own first. They are in civil war mode.

Forget it. The Bronx is gone. I came from Pelham Bay. My uncle still lives right off the parkway. Yeah there are small enclaves of nice sections but little is left. Why the latest gang macheteing of a young kid by Hispanic gang was in the Arthur Avenue section. Still an Italian stronghold but fading fast.
