Take human beings out of the equation and you wind up with unfeeling, non-intuative algorithms doing STUPID stuff, that human beings wouldn't...or at the least, would correct fast! The CRASH OF '87 was the start of this garbage, though humans were still on trading floors and did manage to fix a lot of the crap that the damned "programs" had started and then continued.

The stock market doesn't like uncertainty and few things are more uncertain than a trade war. Commodities markets either - soybean prices are down 20% since May.

Obama was not qualified to be allowed to enter into and be president in the White House, to govern from the Oval Office, because he could not provide a birth certificate ID.
None the less he was the White House illegal president for eight years.
If our free president had been doing it's job, this would not have happened.
While it could have been worse, he still did make a very negative president in this nation's global standing, it's alliances, its Supreme Court, its military capabilities, its security status, its economy, its K-12th grade schools and students, it's universities and students, its citizens respect for reasoned government, its judicial system's respect for the law (even our Founders, Founding Documents, and the U. S. Constitution), the gender related disconnect, its race relations, and it's domestic tranquility.
He sanctioned president-a-mobs and other very unsavory public displays of criminality.
He came to president the majority of our citizens.
He did not president with good decent law abiding citizens against the illegal alien invaders.
That he is now allowed to president inside this nation outside our president system, is a blemish on this nation's standard of equal justice under the law.
Thereby giving investors an advantage. Price isn't value.

Okay, let me make this as simple as is possible, so that you can now finally understand........
When humans were the ones doing the trading, on the floor ( not RRs...TRADERS and those who held THE BOOK ), if some idiot made a mistake that drove the market up or down, FOR NO REASON, the others could do things that would correct it, though sometimes that could take a day or days.
When the famous CRASH OF 29 hit, there WERE steps taken to correct the mess and it was actually working. Then Papa Joe Kennedy and his consortium stepped in to make it crash farther, but even that was fought against. What actually managed to upset the apple cart, was 1) FDR ( who extended the Depression for many years through lousy, lefty politics) 2)the fact that the rest of the world had been battling a severe Recession or Depression since the end of WW I 3) dirty traders who were actually making money from the Crash 4) not enough money/people trying to save the market, against the short sellers.
There had been many previous "CRASHES" and Depressions ( some even worse the the one in '29, which most people, now, know nothing at all about ) which were "saved"/corrected by a combination of things, not the least of which were the people on the floor!
And FYI..."price" used to represent "value" and it should still!
This does NOT "give the investor an advantage" at all!
What part of algorithms have NO FEELING NOR INTUITION, don't you understand? These programs are set to go up or down depending on certain set figures...just figures...NEVER any facts ! So if some fat fingered moron hits SELL and the sell # has had many zeros added, by mistake ( and yes, this did happen! ), all of the programs pick up the sale and also sell.
