This is DOA? There will be no majority in favor of this.

Per capita income alone in PR makes Mississippi look like Connecticut.

There would have to be an internal PR island vote, and I do not see that passing. But if this comes up, why not Guam?

Bi-partisan, my ass. As much as I like most Puerto Ricans that I know, I NEVER want Puerto Rico to be a state. It would have LEFTIST ‘RAT SENATORS for all eternity and their Representative(s) would also be ‘RAT(S) for eternity.

And their ELECTORAL VOTES would ALWAYS go to the ‘RAT candidate—ALWAYS!

Many residents left after the hurricane. More residents of Puerto Rico are free to move to the US.

Yes, I know. It stands that Puerto Rico should NOT be a state. In this week’s primary, a New York District with a large Puerto Rican populace just voted for a 28 year-old far left Socialist candidate to be their DEMOCRAT candidate for Congress.

I don’t want two similar LEFTISTS added to our Senate clambering for FREE STUFF.

Why is a “nonvoting member of Congress” (whatever that is) introducing legislation?

A larger population would likely make Guam capsize anyway...

If we are not going to use PR as an aircraft carrier we should give it back to Spain.

I go back to Connecticut every few years, and each time it looks more like Puerto Rico.

A “non-voting member of Congress” is a violation of the Constitution of the United States of America. That’s what it is.

Gotta do something to get the Democrats back in power, at least give them a couple more senators. After P.R we should go for D.C.
