We'll see. The U.S. puts a 25% tariff on light trucks and SUVs, the two biggest money-makers for U.S. auto companies. Will they sit still for having that tariff removed?

This would be a good move. Hell will freeze over before the politicians agree to this. This should be done on all items. Let the best manufacture win. If other countries can produce it better and cheaper than us so be it with zero tariffs
