Donald Trump: Senate Democrats Will Block Any House Immigration Bill

President Donald Trump criticized the legislative process currently underway for a House immigration bill vote scheduled for Thursday. “What is the purpose of the House doing good immigration bills when you need 9 votes by Democrats in the Senate,” Trump asked on Twitter, pointing out that the Democrats were “only looking to obstruct” Republican legislation to get re-elected in the 2018 mid-term elections.

The president again called for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to end the Senate filibuster rule, requiring 60 votes for legislation to pass.

“Republicans must get rid of the stupid Filibuster Rule,” Trump wrote. “It is killing you!”

He criticized Democrats for their weak border policies, frustrated that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi would not support a long-term immigration deal.

Today,Now that Trump is in office, the only thing dems are good at.....make that EXCEPTIONAL at.....Obstruction !
Not one idea on how to make America better,....all negative....all the time !
The left wants you to think that the cultural changes that have taken place since the 1960s have done nothing but progress us forward, toward a brave new world. Nothing could be further from the turth, and that brave new world they seek is nothing more than the failed policies and ideologies of the communism that enslaved over a third of the world’s population during the 20th century !
They’ve done everything in their power to dumb down our children, undermine our families, rewrite our history, and promote obscenity and immorality everywhere that they can !
Most people on the left aren’t communists, just the useful idiots Lenin spoke of, who are being used to promote a socialist agenda which is the first and necessary step toward communism !

Doesn’t matter.
Write the bill and send it up. Let the American people see what the Senate Democrats are about.
Assuming, of course, it makes it past the news.

So long as the media is willing to blame the president, the Democrats will do everything they can to inflict suffering on illegals.

If the GOP holds the House and Senate after November, POTUS Trump should call on Mconnell to end the filibuster rule and get on with the business of the country.
This stagnation has gone on far too long and things need fixing....NOW.

The Filibuster rule is vital to fake conservatives such as McConnell, McCain, et al. It is a source of leverage to obtain graft perks. It allows them to feign support of conservative bills.

Of course, they don’t want to solve problems, just have power back.

McConnell just won’t change the rule to majority. Something is wrong here or McConnell is really a liberal.

And our white House is playing Schumer brilliantly. Chuckie is becoming the poster board for a democrat voter in the mid-terms. Their lack of passion to support what schumer is doing [really more like lack of results] will result in a low voter turnout.

Rather, the President's hammering of his agenda will draw many conservative voters to the polls. Blue wave forming

“House doing good immigration bills”

Neither are good - the Barack Obama Memorial DACA-based bills will add the younger illegals most likely to vote for Democrats to the voter rolls.

The chain migration change will cause more RINO betrayal and Democratic braying of the type we had just recently.

The wall is funded at such a slow rate it might not get finished until 2031, if the lists of anti-wall environmental laws the bills conveniently provide aren’t used to stop most construction.

The bills also encourage landowners to seek damages for Border Patrol efforts to apprehend invaders.

The Goodlatte E-verify will still allow subcontractor-based avoidance, illegal yes, but inevitable.

The Goodlatte agricultural workers will run off the fields to do easier and better paid construction work and the employers who imported them will get off nearly scot-free.

Neither bill denounces the refugee treaty that floods our country with phony “refugees” easily made entitled to all forms of welfare.

1 John 5:19 says, “the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.” We can fight evil, but until Christ comes, the wicked will continue to hold sway over the world.

“our White House is playing Schumer brilliantly”

Schumer will be happy to get a few million more young Democrat voters in a few years while braying constantly about imagined injustices.

The wall will be only partially built and be called Trump’s Megalomaniacal Folly.

Instead of a dozen vulnerable Republican House members, we’ll have dozens, so even more pandering will be done.

Millions more foreigners will break the wage and salary structure of America.

Nonsense. The Democrats have their own bill that they would be pleased to vote on. Now as to how palatable it would be to the President or the Republicans.

“Republicans must get rid of the stupid Filibuster Rule,”

That presupposes that McConnell could get 50 Republicans to vote for whatever immigration bill gets out of the House. Not a done deal.

"The Democrats have their own bill"

The democrats will take a bipartisan bill similar to the bipartisan bill in 2006 and/or 2013.

Both of the bills passed out of senate with 63-64 cloture votes but never got a vote in the House because of the Hastert rule, even though there were enough votes on the floor of the House to pass.

This exercise of the GOP trying to compromise a bill out of the House is because they don't want to invoke the Hastert Rule again. Both Hastert and Boehner invoked Hastert but Ryan doesn't want to because it will hurt his reputation

In just a few days the senate as it is made up could pass a bipartisan bill that would have enough votes on the floor of the House to pass.

Immigration is the prerogative of the Senate.

Please Mr Trump, don’t count it. Don’t count on the Dim’s in the Senate to stop you from getting a horrible amnesty bill approved by the House. Someone is playing you, letting you think you and the RINOs are safe, you wan’t have to sign the RINO amnesty bill. That’s what Ryan wants you to think, and his Dim friends are helping you to believe, but that is a bait and switch tactic.
