It was so because we no longer live in a Constitutional Republic. We live in an autocratic, oligarchical kleptocracy.

We must eliminate the deep state from existence and reinstall people who believe and support the tenants of the US Constitution.

Texting plans to “stop” someone from becoming president shows how sure they were they’d never be punished. And it looks like they were right. Both should have been arrested by now. In fact, I’m sure Sessions has known about these text messages, and More, for a long time. He should be fired for not enforcing the law.

Could a local LEO arrest Strozt since laws were broken in someone’s jurisdiction?

If Mueller found a text hidden from him for months, he would call it Obstruction of Justice. Especially that particular text.

it was discovered that there was a period — roughly from mid-December 2016 to mid-May 2017 — when there were no texts at all.

That was, it hardly needs be said, an extremely important time in the Trump-Russia investigation.

There had been a flaw in the FBI's collection system, Horowitz said.

That was no bug, that was a feature.

The article goes on to say that the IG offices used its own tools, an outside contractor’s tools, and finally the DoD’s tools to extract missing records.

The actual bug in the system, from the FIB’s POV, was that more data was on the phone than the FIB knew. They would have had to have used the right tool - a hammer - to destroy that message. They thought that might be a bit too obvious, after Hillary’s example - and, fortunately for the Republic, they didn’t think they had to be that thorough.

You must assume that what’s still being hidden is much worse.

No doubt. However, it is easy to imagine someone has a task force interviewing/investigating certain agents fired/demoted/expired during recent years with compelling summaries available to President Trump. That would be in addition to those reliable rank and filer's that continue to participate with investigators.

So the question that likely haunts some of the actors is whether anything is truly "hidden".

Did Peter Strzok and his cheap whore Lisa Page "work" on the Vegas Slaughter?

Did these two lowlifes assist with 'proving' the killer wasn't targeting Trump supporters?

Bet on it. Strzok and whore are political thugs who worked for corrupt liberal elites.. there's nothing we can put beyond either of them.

IG has no subpoena power so they could not be forced to surrender them.

But Jeffy does...

“But then it was discovered that there was a period — roughly from mid-December 2016 to mid-May 2017 — when there were no texts at all.” — Byron York “Washington Examiner” (06/21/18)

Occam’s Razor:

Page: “[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!”

Strzok: No, no. We’ll stop it.”

The most obvious reason the Justice Department withheld this damning August 2016 text message, sent by FBI agent Peter Strzok in response to FBI attorney Lisa Page’s plea for assurance, is that it constitutes prima facia evidence of criminal intent, and at least the suggestion (”we’ll”) of a conspiracy to interfere with—perhaps even determine the outcome of—the 2016 Presidental election.

This is the sort of evidence that would appear to meet that former FBI director James Comey elusive standard “intent beyond a reasonable doubt.”

The sort of evidence, although hiding in plain sight, that the crack FBI team led by Peter Strzok somehow wasn’t able to find when Comey concluded “no reasonable prosecutor” would have sought to indict former Secretary of State and Democrat Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

The sort of evidence the FBI evidently chose to ignore when the Abedin/Weiner computer evidently, and quite literally, dropped into Peter Strzok’s lap in September 2016.

The six-month, post-election gap corresponds with the time frame Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were “investigating” the Trumped Up Russia Collusion Narrative, first within the FBI and then when seconded to Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team. None of those texts have surfaced, either, because IG Horowitz and US Attorney Huber are still working on that aspect of their overall investigation.

If Strzok/Page texts from the “dark” period revealed any “useful” damaging information about Donald Trump and/or his Presidential campaign, or anything that might cast their actions in a more favorable light, you can be sure the Demoncrats would have leaked them by now.

IG Horowitz was charged with investigating how the FBI/DOJ handled the Hillary email probe. Re-opening that criminal probe was beyond his purview. Which is not to say that investigation would not be re-opened if new evidence surfaces. (Hello, Abedin/Weiner Laptop!)

IG Horowitz also has confirmed the Clinton Foundation/Global Initiative investigation continues apace. (Hello, Abedin/Weiner Laptop! And say hello to my little friends, the Saudis, et. al.!)

It’s going to be a long, hot summer.
