WASHINGTON - (AP) -- Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen has drafted an executive action for President Donald Trump that would direct her department to keep families together after they are detained crossing the border illegally. She was at the White House where Trump told reporters he would be "signing something" shortly.
The effort to end what has become a major crisis for the Trump administration was outlined by two people familiar with Nielsen's thinking who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the effort before its official announcement.
It's unclear exactly what the president might be supporting, but he said he would be signing something "in a little while."

Obviously, this is not just Fake News but an assault on our President that crosses the line to treason.

But Trump is a strategist and rather than concede inevitable defeat he found a third choice: write an EO to stop this, tell congress "no bill needed, I fixed it" and then wait for the courts to overturn it. Then he can say "look, I told you this was never my idea. The courts and congress were making me do this and now they are again!" It's his best option.
Rush says that somebody, maybe a leftist, will file a lawsuit because the executive order violates the law.
They are not going to let you escape, Mr. Trump.

I think he’s going to sign a time-limited order which says that Congress has to write a new law and dissolve the old one. If they fail....his order will disappear on such-and-such day, and they will have no one to blame but themselves.
He’s running rings around them.
Depends on what he actually does. If its reasonable to keep these "families" together and it can be done so safely, then by all means get this off the front page and put attention back on deep state corruption.
Dump it right back to the useless Congress.

On the other channel Ryan says there will be a bill on floor Thursday.
It will solve family, DACA, border issues etc.
Right now there are two bills to keep the opposition busy. Expect the REAL bill to be presented at last moment!
So if the republicans use this “crisis” that the left created as a Trojan Horse they should be able to create a huge bill containing everything they want and have the support of the Rats too boot! Smile when you pass that partner!
Shortly could be next week after the bill is passed.
And use it as grounds for impeachment (an EO that violates existing law).
Trump surrendering to extremist left-wing democrat agitators. Disappointing.
Look for the 9th circus court of appeals to rule he can’t do this.
