In one of his most forceful attacks on the special counsel yet, Rudy Giuliani on Friday claimed the Russia investigation could get “cleaned up” with pardons from President Trump in light Paul Manafort being sent to jail.
“When the whole thing is over, things might get cleaned up with some presidential pardons,” the former New York mayor told the Daily News.
Giuliani’s stunning remark came hours after a Washington, D.C., judge revoked Manafort’s bail and ordered him to remain behind bars while awaiting his September trial on charges relating to his shady pro-Russian business dealings in Ukraine. The ruling came after Robert Mueller’s investigators alleged Manafort had attempted to tamper with witnesses in the Russia investigation.
Giuliani, who worked as a federal prosecutor for nearly a decade, claimed he had seen no evidence to warrant Manafort being sent to jail.
“I don’t understand the justification for putting him in jail,” Giuliani, 74, said. “You put a guy in jail if he’s trying to kill witnesses, not just talking to witnesses.”

Trump would be justified in pardoning all of them.
And only the US Congress through Impeachment and Removal could stop him.
Trump needs to backchannel to both Manafort and Cohen that no matter the outcome, they will not serve time.

87% of all Republicans support Trump. At least 45% of the American electorate supports Trump. He’s more popular then either Obama or Reagan at this point in his presidency.
Not even a Democrat majority in the House would pass an Impeachment resolution.
Let’s throw down the gauntlet and get it started.
Must wait until formally convicted before a pardon can be granted. None of the bigwigs in campaign have been convicted yet. All charges have nothing to do with Trump campaign.
I can not work on Trump campaign 2020, because Mueller will still be investigating, and I may have rounded off interest in savings account incorrectly.
Flynn, Manafort and others are out a whole lot of money.
Mueller the thug has managed to cost all of his victims a whole lot of money in legal fees and he’s far from done, unless someone stops him.

Carter preemptively pardoned draft dodgers in Canada and Ford pardoned Nixon before any charges were brought.
I believe the legal term for that is "obstruction of justice". Do it and we may well find out if a president can be indicted.

Wow, thanks Rudy, and thanks for wrapping up that Mueller probe in a week or two.
Wait for it.....Obstruction!
The game is just about over. The judges move to detain Manafort was just another card taken from the deck. Manafort is holding a get out of jail free card, but it’s not yet time to play it. McConnell played his last card which read, “Time to wrap up the investigation.”
So let’s recap:
1) The only Democrat who might go to prison is McCabe.
2) The IG report pretty much absolved Trump from any further investigation into the fake collusion story.
3) Most of the Hillary and Obama cabal will quietly fade away, unless the Democrats take congress in November. If they open their mouths and the Republicans hold congress, Trump has two years with no impediments to punch back. And it will not be pretty.
4) McConnell sent out the dog whistle to the deep state to back off.
5) Trump will pardon everyone who got caught up in this.
6) As great as Trump did in handling himself through all of this, the message by the deep state was heard by the administration.
In the end, the only people who got screwed by all of this is the American people, as expected.
Rudy needs to shut up.
