The list of people in politics who are eligible for jail and trials more than Manafort is more pages than in the tax code.
From Hillary/Obama/Holder/Rice/Lerner/Rahm/BClinton and on and on.
“Justice” is used as a political tool and isn’t anywhere to be found in it’s original purpose.

I don’t quite know what to think about this. But more and more I am beginning to think that many of these maneuvers are part of the plan. Not all. The Deep State still pulls a lot of dirty tricks. But I believe I am seeing a lot more scripted theater that has a definite purpose. Some is designed to draw our attention toward something, some to draw our attention away. Some is designed to head fake the Deep State. Some is designed to reassure normal Americans.
Trump has shown us that he will pardon those who are innocent. He has carefully picked a few to pardon to show us where his intentions are.
I am confident that if Manafort is a bad actor, he’s going down. If he’s innocent (and possibly, literally a good actor), Trump will take care of him. I’m agnostic on which side he’s on. I’ve been head faked by Trump too many times! (all for a good purpose)

I haven’t read Lewandowski’s book, but Corey appears to be a very credible guy. I do know that Paul had experience in delegate handing and he was very effective at the critical time. They likely needed him in that position thru May- 2016.
Without insider political (R) experience and connections, it would be difficult to combat interior threats from the GOPe. Manafort delivered the votes when and where it was needed. He warded off dozens of republican back-stabbing whining weasels and jackals. And, I thank him for that, but don’t care to know the details of his plan.
I doubt Manafort, a multi-millionaire many times over, accepted the campaign job strictly for financial gain. So it’s not surprising that there was no severance package or benefits like Corey L. collected. In comparison to what we all know about the rest of the politicians, Paul is no more unsavory or savory then the rest of the crew. The enforcers just select persons for political destruction to demonize and prosecute.
Bobby’s gotta have something to show for $17 million.
Muller will get Manafort’s trial delayed until never. He’s pretty much facing a life sentence with Muller running the show. It will take a pardon to get him out of jail. This is the way the police state functions.
