Congressional Democrats are seizing on the Department of Justice's (DOJ) decision to not defend key parts of ObamaCare in court, signaling they think the issue could pay political dividends in November.
The DOJ, as part of its announcement late last week, argued the law's protections for people with pre-existing conditions should be invalidated because the individual mandate that required people have insurance or pay a penalty is now repealed.
Despite a flurry of North Korea news on Tuesday, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) started his weekly news conference with reporters by talking about health care, saying his caucus would not be "diverted."

Schumer said the DOJ's decision was "shameful" and Democrats will try to force health care-related votes on the Senate floor throughout the summer.
"This November, Americans will go to the polls knowing that President Trump and Republicans in Congress have spent two years dismantling the nation's health-care system. They'll have the opportunity to vote to move the country in a different direction," he added.

If I recall correctly, Bronco Bama and Pelosi gave us that system as a Christmas gift. It's broken, Chuckles. Time for something different and new.
With more people working now, they can see how entirely hosed they are getting from Crapcare.
Its a new constituency the Dems are writing off.
Whatta buncha DUmmies.
They gots nuttin’, Honey.
19 percent to 25 percent hike in 2019.
Insanity...
No one cares about it.
Yes, please double-down on Ovomitcare.
And a $6000 deductible! With PPO premiums
It is outright theft.
The Dems take the bait.
There is nothing different and new in the pipeline. And if the court strikes down Obamacare like the states are demanding then one of the few truly popular aspects of it p pre-existing condition coverage - goes away as well. And the Democrats will hang it on the Republicans because they own healthcare now.
The Dems have no plan except to hang onto vestiges from a failed policies by a failed president . . . good luck! You’ll need it!!
I haven’t spent $6000 on doctors cumulative in my adult lifetime. But these fascists on the Left sure want me to give over my money so the insurance companies will be fat and happy.
This will not be persuasive to the swing votes that the Dems need.
Medicaid is the catastrophic insurance plan for the lower and middle classes. If a middle income person gets sick loses their job, they qualify for Medicaid. So, for most people, there’s no need to buy a plan with high deductible; that’s redundant with Medicaid.
Instead of buying redundant insurance, middle income people can purchase health care directly from providers, shop around and save 40-50% of the price paid by insurance companies.

of course the middle class needs insurance because when they go on Medicaid THEY WILL LOSE THEIR ASSETS TO THE STATE AND THE MEDICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.
LOL!
Democrats still haven’t learned Obamacare is a political albatross.
They keep stepping right into it. Then again, you can’t fix stupid.
Only among the lowest 1/3 of the IQ curve.
Obamacare, aside from being a fraud, alone a reason to keep it out of the public consciousness, is the most incompetent, inept, ineffectual and costly public program ever conceived.
The program as promised wasn't even completed to this day.
The network of databases that made the entire plan work was never even started, because they ran out of budget money for the program.
"If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor..." was the least of its failures.
The plan could never work and in fact it never worked. It self imploded.
So yea, Chukie the imbecile wants to revive it because Trump killed it.
Try to make political points out of that!
What word describes "Beyond Desperation?"
On the other end of the spectrum, Obamacare does a good job of separating you from your assets if you pay full fare. In my neck of the woods, a couple age 55 will have Bronze level premiums payments north of $200K over the next 10 years. A Silver level plan is likely to be above $300K and that is without factoring in yearly increases and deductibles.
Both are evil
HOW GOVERNMENT INSURANCE WORKS
The one thing that does not get discussed or a lot of press is that the way that the system is designed.
There is not a lot of money left in America, the underclass is financially impoverished. The middle class is shrinking and the upper classes dont participate.
There is, however a large pool of assets in the middle class and some in the lower and underclass that can be grabbed.
The way this system works is that the medical industrial complex works with the insurance complex and the overreaching government to set price points.
Price points on how much the medical industrial complex charges, and price points on how much the insurance charges. The government is the enforcer.
Insurance price points include the asset busting deductibles.
As insurance price points increase, and medical costs increase, and the government continues to say who gets what, the middle class can no longer afford insurance and they are dumped into Medicaid.
Medicaid pays everything, but is not free but instead dissolves assets to keep the whole ball going.
Anyone with assets this country who cannot bow out of the system will be getting robbed.
Whatever happens with the insurance, it is going to be a middle class asset grab. The millennial will have their inheritances used to prop up healthcare and insurance and of course the government.
Yes it is. There is quite an incentive to keep income below 400% FPL if on Obamacare. Older Americans that are healthy can get a Bronze plan with virtually no premium.
