Bill Kristol is a smiling idiot.
Nobody should ever take his political comments seriously again.

While Trump was running his campaign, none of these political wankers ever considered Trump’s extensive international business dealings. I did and that’s why I voted for a successful businessman rather than another DC mealey-mouth insider.

Diplomacy seems to be the process of trading your high value thing for another nations high value thing so that both feel that they lost something important to gain something important.
Business is the process of trading something that is not valuable to one party for something that you consider to be more valuable. If you do it right, both parties can find a way to swap an object of low value for an object of high value. (Example: if I have a surplus of eggs and you need eggs, they are low value to me and high value to you. If you have the ability to shoe my horse and my horse needs a shoe, then we can make a great deal.)
Trump has taken diplomacy and replaced it with business. I am not surprised at all.

The Obama and his evil cabal of global communists had an unconscionable future planned for America and the worlds peoples. Death should be the only reward for the eaters of children.

I don't remember one person, even early Trump supporters on FR, from the earliest days of Trump announcing he was running saying he would be a great foreign policy mastermind. Not one.
I think that's what his point was.

I earnestly pray that he is getting and accepting divine guidance. ... GOD may be giving this degenerating WORLD a little more time to repent and turn to HIM. Pray for it! Pray for our President.

I voted for someone that wants Americans to win, not for someone that would “negotiate” away my Rights, Freedom and Future.

no one I know, expected Donald Trump to be a giant in foreign policy.
Like most in the media, the writer needs to get to know more people (us "normals" not more of the DC/NY/LA/Sanfran crowd). Trump's strength is that he's been a giant across all sorts of efforts from building to branding to TV.
Aside from the "hope" us normals had based on his broad abilities and successes, he has had more interactions with more foreigners than any other president in my life and probably history. He understands international motivation, process, culture, interests, politics and so many other things through real life successes. That is YUGE, even without any real life political experience (which he had through business dealings which are almost always political)

Trump was an international deal maker, we shouldnt be too surprised. Granted if he had any rough edges prior to this summit they are gone with the wind. He ruled the roost over there and was in total command at the post summit presser.

I’m wondering if Trump played a “Corleone” maneuver.

Obama was the worst at making deals, ie worldwide negotiator.. he bought his way.
Trump has made deals for years and has written about making them.. which makes him a good possibility for a master foreign policy deal maker.. plus he holds his ground.

I was an early Trump supporter.
Expected the economy to recover. Expected him to be able to roll back the O agenda. Expected him to stop illegals. Expected us to be a better country. Expected his strength to beat the muzzies. Expected him to be great.
Never expected him to be as good as he’s been on the world stage.
I didn’t expect any disaster, just did not see a master.
I never heard one person on FR say this was why they supported him.

Ole Condi Rice said he should leave the matter to professional negotiators - - - yeah, Condi, How’d that work out for ya the last 60 years

I’m pleased, but not at all surprised by any of this. I fully expected Donald J. Trump to be one of the greatest Presidents in U.S. history ...
