I hope the Eastonian mom will come back to the nest soon. I can’t believe it scared her than badly. The other parents came back in Davistati, didn’t they?
I had to smile when Divi put that stick on BigPig. Like you stay on your side and I’ll stay on mine. LOL! Now that Divi isn’t starving, they are fun to watch. Is Divi also Vilnis? So confusing. :)
I’d better head out. The early. morning alarm has just about caught up with me. See ya mañana!
Good evening, E...((HUGS))...hope you and Gizmo can get out and play today.
You boys have a great Monday.
Thanks, Kathy. Typing this message on the Windows 10 keyboard. It’s been down for several days but now it’s working again.
Glad you are up and going again.
It appears Suvi is a first-time mom and the banding upset her an awful lot. There’s a chance she’ll go back to the nest since she’s been hanging around but who knows? Those eagles are timid about people, unlike our bald eagles.
She’s probably also upset about the nest collapsing as badly as it has.
Sulev is older and he apparently isn’t as easily upset. He’s very devoted to his little girl.
I don’t know if both parents have been back to the one Latvian nest. The cam’s far enough from the nest that it’s hard to see them well enough to tell them apart. At least one of them is still taking care of the eaglets.
Big Pig and Divi won’t be banded after all. They don’t want to take a chance with upsetting Raimis and Milda since both are young parents.
I was laughing at Divi putting the stick on Big Pig too. Silly bird. They’re both funny to watch.
Yes, Divi is Vilnis. Divi is the name I gave him before they were officially named. It’s Latvian for “Two” since he was the second to hatch. Big Pig’s official name is Robis but I had named her Vienu, which means “One”. Then I started calling her Big Pig when she wouldn’t allow Divi to eat for so long.
Good night and sleep well. Catch ya tomorrow.
We found a new hiking place, along the North River, right in my own town. Lots to explore without going too far at all.
And, Yes. I had a LOVELY ride on Blue, with her sparkling new windshield!
I hope Suvi does come back to take care of her eaglet. Maybe as she watches dad take care of the eaglet, she’ll realize that it’s ok.
I just had to laugh while watching the stick trick. The look on Robis’s face...”what th’ heck is that silly brother of mine doing now!” Divi did a pretty good job at picking at the nestovers. He’s catching up quick!
Howdy, EGC! (((hugs)))
All is well here...just the normal hot weather for June. 97 right now, but it’s supposed to get up to 102 or so. Hope it doesn’t make it. LOL
Hope you and Giz have a great day at the lake! .....and pie afterwards! :)
Just got home from the vet clinic and doing a quick run through things before feeding the cats and us. I checked in on the birds and Suvi is at the nest with her baby! She was sitting with her as it got dark there so all’s well.
Divi has had to grow up quickly due to what’s gone on at their nest. But he’s proven himself to be a survivor and we’re proud of the lil bird.
He’s also humorous to watch at times. :-)
Good evening, mountainlion....I sure do agree with you.
