Local radio is reporting that Antonio Villaraigosa is requesting that the polls stay open until FRIDAY because of the screw up down there.

What’s she going to say? That Newsom was a bad lay when they were married?

BURLINGAME, Calif. -- Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has taken the top spot in California's all-party primary contest to replace retiring Gov. Jerry Brown (D), guaranteeing him a spot in November's runoff.

The Associated Press said Newsom had made the runoff at 12:17 p.m. Eastern time. With 15 percent of precincts reporting, Newsom held 34 percent of the vote.

Businessman John Cox (R) is in second place, at 27 percent of the vote. Former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (D) was trailing at 11 percent.

If Cox does pull this off, he could very well beat Newsome in primary... very interesting.

It’s California & unless Newsom implodes..he’s the next Governor.
Will be interesting how the Cox/GOP plays this one.
Newsom has plenty of dirty laundry to expose.

I still cannot believe Ventura county went democrat.

Lived there lmost forty years, long gone now, but still a shock to see they went for the Beast in 2016.

I agree - Newsom is the next governor.

Cox taking second place will guarantee a strong GOP turnout in November, boosting prospects the House will remain in GOP hands.

Cox won’t win but he will help to ensure the latter.

John Cox, stick with Trump endorsement and not split the R ticket.

Exactly! Travis has been floating inside the California Swamp for some time so he is no stranger......just like Jeff Sessions.
