Mueller accuses Paul Manafort of witness tampering

Federal prosecutors accused former Trump presidential campaign chairman Paul Manafort of witness tampering late Monday in his criminal case and asked a federal judge to consider revoking or revising his release.

Prosecutors accused Manafort and a longtime associate they linked to Russian intelligence of repeatedly contacting two members of a public relations firm and asking them to falsely testify about secret lobbying they did at Manafort’s behest.

The firm of former senior European officials, informally called the “Hapsburg group,” was secretly retained in 2012 by Manafort to advocate for Ukraine, where Manafort had clients, prosecutors charged.

In court documents, prosecutors with special counsel Robert S. Mueller III allege that Manafort and his associate — referred to only as Person A — tried to contact the two witnesses by phone and through encrypted messaging apps. The description of Person A matches his longtime business colleague in Ukraine, Konstantin Kilimnik.

Manafort, 69, has been on home confinement pending trial.

Manafort should have left it to his lawyers to contact potential defense witnesses and not done that on his own. He should have known the government is monitoring all of his communications.

Mueller, Weissmann and his band of sleazy thugs apparently are trying to get Manafort's bail revoked and have him sent to jail as a way to put pressure on him to create a case against President Trump.

In another country, the government put an accused white collar criminal in jail pending trial. The government wanted him to change his story to fit what they wanted. He was beaten up in jail and denied medical treatment. He died.

That country was Putin's Russia and the accused was Sergei Magnitsky.

When deep state hacks like Andrew Weissmann are given power instead of being disbarred, that appears to be where we are heading as a country.

The basic crime they are prosecuting Manafort for is failing to register as a lobbyist, and related crimes for associated money payments. He was connected to the Podesta Group in his lobbying.

If prosecutors were to investigate all of Washington for lobbying law infractions, half the city would be indicted.

Remember how Papadopoulos' girlfriend said he was forced to plea because Mueller accused him of being an agent for Israel?

I'm guessing it's the same law - that Papadop probably took a payment from the Israeli government in return for the many speeches and seminars he attended in recent years pushing and talking about the Israeli natural gas field, but never filed a form registering as a lobbyist or agent for Israel.

Hillary Clinton & Robert Mueller Linked in Russian Uranium Exchange

American Liberty PAC ^ | Jun 20, 2017 | Kirk

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton facilitated a uranium exchange with Russian law enforcement by former FBI Director (and current chief Deep State inquisitor) Robert Mueller.

The exchange was exposed via a recent Wikileaks publication of a secret cable between Hillary’s State Department and the Russian embassy.

Hillary sent Mueller to Moscow with orders to turn over a 10 gram sample of highly enriched uranium (HEU) which was obtained during a shadowy 2006 nuclear “sting” operation conducted in the Georgian Republic.

The ostensible reason for the transfer was to engender further trust between Russian and American law enforcement in the area of nuclear materials and to learn more about how to trace nuclear materials.

But when it comes to Hillary and Russian uranium interests, the shady Uranium One deal cannot pass unnoted.

There still has been no real investigation into how Hillary gave permission for a Russian company to acquire a quarter of the North American uranium reserves after Russian interests poured hundreds of millions into the Clinton Foundation and gave Bill Clinton six figure speaking fees.

At the very least, this exchange raises serious questions about the ability of Robert Mueller to do his job as special prosecutor on the Russian collusion charges since he already has connections to major figures in Russian law enforcement.

Special Counsel Mueller Literally Handed Uranium to the Russians!

IWB ^ | Mark Angelides

We all know that the Russian Collusion investigation is nothing but a game to try and distract the population from actually caring about the day to day running of the country, but the charade has gone too far and some serious questions need to be asked; most especially of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

WikiLeaks has put out a document that details then FBI Director Mueller’s itinerary on his visit to Russia to deliver 10 grams of Enriched Uranium.

One more time for those who missed it…Mueller hand delivered Highly Enriched Uranium to the Russian government!

Manafort is being set up. His level of guilt pales in comparison to the crimes that Democrats get away with. But that’s beside the point. He is going to be found guilty.

What to do?

Trump should pardon him. Pardon him now. Make it clear and make it plain that whatever Mueller does to Manafort is of no use. Because he will get a full and complete presidential pardon.

That should piss off the Democrats.

From what I read Manafort TRIED to contact witnesses.

If Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for a speech wouldn’t that mare him an unregistered agent?

Manafort was working for the Podesta Group. I wonder when somebody is going to make a big deal out of that.

I think (and have thought for some time already) that PDJT should definitely SHUT this Mueller business DOWN! Its a royal (and expensive) pain for the country, and his stable full of attorneys hasn’t been able to find a single DJT crime in all this time...

Isn’t there anybody who knows how to say, “You’re FIRED!”??????????????????????

This is a bs charge. It is a nothing burger. How did he know they were a witness? They were business associates!! This is an attempt by mule face to compose false testimony and extort perjury from manafort. It shows me the desperation is raging in the witch hunt. I really think mule face should be indicted for misuse of government property.

Considering how often Mueller has been wrong in the past and how often he lied to courts to get his way. I figure Manafort did nothing

Curious about all the incidental criminal data Mueller uncovered on his allies.

They haven’t shown that any of the communications contained lies or coercive pressure. And while they say encryption is evidence of nefarious conduct, I could understand Manfort using it for privacy since the government has been tapping him.

The defense is not compelled to be completely transparent to the prosecution in setting up its case.

On the other hand, as someone else posted, Manafort should have known what pricks Mueller and Weissman are, and run everything through his lawyers and used the protective fig-leaf of privileged attorney communication.

I read about this late last night, but didn’t see what judge this was before—Jackson or Ellis, so I just checked. Of course it’s before Jackson. Ellis would probably toss this motion in the trash.
