He seems to have regretted it and made up for it. There are plenty of Democrat governors CURRENTLY doing worse, restoring voting privileges, supporting sanctuary cities - just to get democrats elected.
Huckabee has that idiot mistake from the past to answer for, but he certainly doesn’t deserve to be the poster child for such behavior - when there are so many worse offenders - current and unrepentant.
It was more than a mistake, it was ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY that he could read the future intentions of these animals, and based on that, he ALONE was capable decide they were safe for society.
As I mentioned, he did this many, many, times, and had the entire Law Enforcement community in Arkansas SCREAMING AT HIM to stop - and he just IGNORED them.
It was much deeper, worse than I’ve ever seen out of any Democrat or Republican, and giving him pardon power in the White House - sorry, NO WAY.
Come to think of it, Dukakis had the same issue, as in Willie Horton...not sure if he did it as much though.
Anyway, if we want people clearing out jails and sending felons on the street, there’s always the Democrat Party for that. We don’t need to support Republicans doing the same.
