Trump: Actually, the North Korea Summit Still Could Happen June 12
Townhall.com ^ | May 25, 2018 | Katie Pavlich

Before traveling to Annapolis Friday morning to speak at the commencement ceremony for the U.S. Naval Academy, President Trump said the summit with North Korea could still happen June 12.

“We’ll see what happens. We’re talking to them now. It was a very nice statement they put out. We’ll see what happens," Trump said.  “We’ll see what happens. It could even be the 12th. We’re talking to them now. They very much want to do it. We’d like to do it. We’re going to see what happens.”

“Everybody plays games. You know that better than anybody,” he continued when asked about whether North Korea is playing games.

The statement comes just 24 hours after President Trump cancelled the summit, after a threat of nuclear war from the regime and radio silence on handling logistical issues, in a direct letter to dictator Kim Jong Un. In response, North Korea issued a statement saying they are still interested in coming to the table.

"As far as the historic DPRK-US summit is concerned, we have inwardly highly appreciated President Trump for having made the bold decision, which any other US presidents dared not, and made efforts for such a crucial event as the summit," the regime issued to North Korean state run media Friday morning. "His sudden and unilateral announcement to cancel the summit is something unexpected to us and we can not but feel great regret for it."

"We remain unchanged in our goal and will to do everything we could for peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and humankind, and we, broad-minded and open all the time, have the willingness to offer the US side time and opportunity," the statement continues. "The first meeting would not solve all, but solving even one at a time in a phased way would make the relations get better rather than making them get worse. The US should ponder over it. We would like to make known to the US side once again that we have the intent to sit with the US side to solve problem regardless of ways at any time."

Very good news to receive the warm and productive statement from North Korea. We will soon see where it will lead, hopefully to long and enduring prosperity and peace. Only time (and talent) will tell!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 25, 2018

necessary precondition needs to be unconditional turnover of all NK nuclear weapons and materials to US custody, without exceptions, and unlimited access to inspectors anywhere anytime on NK territory, otherwise this is just a play.

I hope so.
I’m glad Mr. Trump rocked everybody’s boat yesterday.
Kim needs to take this seriously, or just don’t take the opportunity at all. No more standing the USA up in Singapore type games. No more hysterical child-rages about our Vice President when he states what everyone knows.
In other words, cut the crap!

Trump is the most masterful strategist The Republic has ever known with a genius-like understanding of human psychology.

Within the last 48 hours he has firmly put the Reds back in their box and reassumed the role of the Primary Alpha.

His message is very clear- we want peace, but not at any cost !

Trump is playing his enemies like a fiddle - and I’m not talking about Kim Jong Un. I am convinced that deal was sealed weeks ago because the Norks are collapsing their nuclear site as we speak. Trump is playing his domestic enemies.

Reading yesterday’s letter I imagined Trump laughing as he wrote it thinking “This guy actually thinks he can play me?”.

I hope the Singapore meeting is on. Who knows, maybe some will visit Joseph Prince’s New Creation Church inside the amazing Star facility and get saved.

Trump...the best POTUS the USA has ever had. He is right in the same class & league with George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan. Where is Barack Hussein Obama in the league of USA Presidents?....Simple dead last!!!

No. It’ll never happen.

Kim’s just jerking everybody around, something which he loves to do and does habitually, consistently and compulsively.

That’s how he gets his yayas. That and hookers and Remy.

"The first meeting would not solve all, but solving even one at a time in a phased way would make the relations get better rather than making them get worse..."

Sounds like they are pushing for incremental agreements vice Trump's demand of "total, verifiable, irreversible denuclearization". I expect Trump will stick with his "maximum pressure" policy until he achieves this, but will offer some face saving concessions that Kim can hold up as "wins" for NK. Short of this, it probably falls apart.

The USA has no consistent foreign policy and can’t be trusted, prima facie, that is the problem with the 2 term Presidency and the 4 year term of office.

Libya was betrayed despite giving up it’s WMD program by the Iranian Jarrett and her Kenyan puppet Obama, with the full buy in of the arch criminal Clinton’s.

The Clintons WON the popular vote in America, it’s only by a miracle from God that those EVIL DEGENERATE MONSTERS are not in residence in the WH.

In light of this ridiculously fluid situation, Kim would be insane to give up his weapons, that’s not going to happen.

If Trump wants to be taken seriously he will clean house at home, the guy can’t even get his armed forces or Executive Branch agencies to listen to him or obey his orders, and let’s them conspire against him with impunity.

All it takes is about two dozen nuke strikes to put us back into the stone age over here, the protection afforded us by the oceans is gone.

We need a strongman to restore order before our enemies band together and eat our lunch, the nation has never been more divided, and domestic enemies operate unfettered everywhere.

As the guy with the short mustache said:

“I don’t see much future for the Americans ... it’s a decayed country. And they have their racial problem, and the problem of social inequalities ... my feelings against Americanism are feelings of hatred and deep repugnance ... everything about the behaviour of American society reveals that it’s half Judaised, and the other half negrified. How can one expect a State like that to hold together?”

Be nice to prove him wrong.

We shall see—Trump is the master of such things. I don’t know how it will turn out but I wouldn’t want to play poker with Trump. Kim will come out of this wearing a barrel is my guess.
korean War will end, Dmz will be de-militarized, Trains will go back and forth. North Korea will put up a statue to Trump.

I wish there was a list somewhere of all the foolish pundits, of their quotes when he first announced the meeting was cancelled. “Totally clueless as to what he was getting into...”, etc.

Make fat boy put his supply of lobster and Dom Perignon in escrow in Singapore. If he doesn’t show up, he eats bark like other North Koreans.

And spanked the MSM “experts” sermoning him about diplomacy, and beaten the NFL thugs to the pulp, and smashed the union mafia with 3 executive orders, and busted out the deep state spying...
Please Mister President, stop, I am so exhausted of so much winning.
