Father of Santa Fe Shooter – My son is the victim here
Tribunist ^ | 05/22/18

There’s a new wrinkle in the aftermath of the shooting at Santa Fe High School on Friday. The family of the shooter, the boy who killed 10 people, are speaking out. They’re claiming that their son, the one who shot his classmates and teachers, should be seen as a victim. They claim the boy was bullied and “mistreated” by his classmates.

Dimitrios Pagourtzis, 17, is being held on capital murder charges. Pagourtzis has admitted to killing 8 students and two teachers. The shotgun and .38 revolver he brought to campus both belonged to his father.

That man, Antonios Pagourtzis, is now making statements. He says his son was a ‘good boy’ and that he must have been bullied.

“My son, to me, is not a criminal, he’s a victim,” Antonios Pagourtzis, who immigrated to the U.S. from Greece, reportedly told Greece’s Antenna TV. “The kid didn’t own guns, I owned guns.”

“He pulled the trigger but he is not this person,” he said.

“It is like we see in the movies when someone gets into his body and does things that are not done. It’s not possible in one day for the child to have changed so much.”

Pagourtzis said his son never displayed any signs that he would be capable of such violence, explaining that he didn’t fight with others, didn’t drink alcohol and seemed to enjoy healthy pursuits such as working out.

Pagourtzis also spoke with the Wall Street Journal. He told them that his son was “mistreated at school” and “that’s what was behind” the carnage.

“He never got into a fight with anyone. I don’t know what happened,” he said.

“Somebody probably came and hurt him, and since he was a solid boy, I don’t know what could have happened. I can’t say what happened. All I can say is what I suspect as a father.”

“I hope God helps me and my family understand. We are all devastated. It would have been better if he shot me than all those kids.”

“I have guns. I am a hunter and had a farm which I rented in the 1980s,” he said. “The guns in my house are legal and declared.”

Antonios Pagourtzis and his wife were allowed to visit their son in prison for 15 minutes.

“I saw the child. I didn’t see a child who is a murderer. A pure child, a child who was ashamed to look me in the face,” Pagourtzis said.

“He was thinking of his sisters, how his sisters will be able to get about. He said he loves me, he told his mother he loves her and he will try to be strong to help us cope.”

It was during this visit that the younger Pagourtzis reportedly told his parents that he had spared “the kids who were the good kids so they can tell his story.”

Pagourtzis will have his story told. Much of what’s known about the incident will become public during the sentencing, if not before.

>>He says his son was a ‘good boy’ and that he must have been bullied.

Snowflake + Bully + Culture of Media Violence + Culture of Moral Relativism = Mass Murderer

Good, active parenting can minimize the effects of three of those.

Yeah, well we get the idea. Had the young lady simply put out, no one would be dead now. Nice going pops. Has he been charged yet for allowing access to the firearms? Is there a TX law about securing them from minors?

It’s not rape if it’s for the children.

These parents need to be in jail with their son then they can converse while the await their day in court. As far as I’m concerned they are assecories to the killing. This whole being bullied excuse is BS. The teachers get paid plenty to stop this crap. Parents whine their kids are picked on so they can use the school for a babysitter.

My son, to me, is not a criminal, he’s a victim...

Freudian slip confession?

Maybe daddy molests/abuses boy. Anger builds. Add psychotropic drugs to the mix. Boy lashes out with violence.

It wouldn't be the first time.

If he had bloodied a few noses of other schoolboys I might see his point, but shooting to kill and going after a spurned date is a horse of a different color.

The Parkland shooter also claimed that he was bullied.

The Bullying defense is wrong with the Parkland shooter and the Santa Fe shooter.

Both are horrible humans who decided to murder.

His spawn is an evil little SOB. Evil. I hope the victims families SUE this man and his family until a box on the sidewalk and dumpster food looks good. That's where society is now-no such thing as 'bad' and 'evil', just victims of others who MADE them into soulless killers. Some poor girl knows a nut when she sees one and rejects him, so she is killed first. What kind of 'father' justifies that?

Why didn't the police blow this POS brains out at the site? He doesn't deserve to live.

His son murders people and this culpable parent is angling to cash in on a book deal ?

The murderer was ‘bullied’ - sign of a parent who didn’t teach this murderer how to handle that.

Lots of ways these days in our ‘era of easy victim posing’ and lots of busybody authorities who could have been invoked.

Shot his imagined girlfriend ?

Sorry scummy father of a murderer, your excuses fall flat on the sane people. (Hope you can handle the ‘bullying’ (public derision and revulsion) YOU will receive - and that YOU also don’t have to resort to a gun to make yourself ‘feel’ better.)

I was bullied too. Orthopedic deformites, twisted limbs and a palsy limp.

I had friends. I had beautiful girlfriends. I had a life.

I was even poor and lived on the other side of the tracks.

I’m not buying it. But they publish this kid’s story, and yet no one knows a damned thing about Eric Frein. Eric killed the PA state trooper during shift change. He wrote in letters that the cop was molesting his nephew and everyone protected the cop. He snapped and shot the cop. At least, that’s his story. Who knows, no one will talk about it.

But will they talk about how much “suffering” this new kid endured in his poor, poor immigrant life ? Probably.

Texas law, Dad is going to jail for letting a minor access.

Whining Dad, you get a F being a parent.
