What a great metaphor for draining the swamp!

Used to be a branch of the Potomac that ran along todays' Constitution Ave in front of the White House, so must still be plenty of groundwater there. If you've been by there, at 15th and Constitution there's still the old Lockkeeper's House and NPS is reconstructing another one at 17th St.
