Mystery in Mueller probe: Where’s the hacking indictment?
The Hill ^ | 22 May 2018 | Morgan Chalfant

In the year since the start of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, one thing has been notably absent: a public indictment of any Russians for the hacking of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

Mueller has charged President Trump’s former campaign chief, secured guilty pleas from several individuals in Trump’s orbit and indicted 13 Russians for an elaborate plot to leverage social media to influence the American electorate.

But the special counsel has yet to announce charges for the hacking of the DNC, even though the intelligence community and private cybersecurity experts linked the attack to the Russian government more than a year ago. Legal experts say there are several possible explanations.

“[The reasons] can range from, there’s no evidence of any known individuals, to publicly announcing the indictment would compromise other aspects of the investigation” said Mark Zaid, a Washington-based attorney specializing in national security.

To date, there's been no interview by Mueller and his team of Julian Assange, examination of the DNC server, examination of Clinton's destroyed equipment, Wasserman-Schultz, Podesta, Wiener's laptop, Seth Rich's role, the Awans...

But yet we're told the Russians have 30,000 emails from Clinton, Trump paid for the hack, Trump's people transmitted and received data from the hack. And no proof of any of that.

What a farce to ignore such a volume of evidence just to focus on fantasy...

There's no mystery. There was no hack.

You must have dreamed that up. Trump has never been accused of that.

There was no hack of the DNC.
It was a leak.
His name was Seth Rich.
He was plugged.

If they admitted they had info from the Podesta’s would bring into focus the crimes alleged in those details. Furthermore, indicting anyone for possessing the Clintoon E mails would make them discoverable and there is a ton of stuff that the “coughing crook” would not want exposed nor would the enigma who ran the most corrupt administration in world history.

I have followed this pretty closely..... I believe the unsourced allegation you reference only stated that Trump acquired the hacked emails from the Russians and provided them to Wikileaks.

Based on the scant evidence we now possess as well as the statements and actions of Assange it appears quite likely that the “hack” was in fact an internal theft involving a DNC staffer who is sadly not available for comment.

I was not aware that Seth Rich was alive and talking until he got to the hospital.

Then a new doctor (sent from ???) stepped into his room, and suddenly he was critically wounded.

To my knowledge, CrowdStrike, the company the DNC hired to do their cyber security, is the only entity to provide an "analysis". No independent entity, was allowed to do any investigation, including the FBI, because the DNC did not allow them. Do I have this correct?

If so, any comments about the claims of Guccifer, or any company, or agency, is suspect.

If a company such as a large retailer or bank made these claims, they would be subject to lawsuits at the least.

Yesterday, Rush Limbaugh repeated the 2017 forensic analysis of the DNC servers that showed that the download speeds were too fast for remote internet hacking.

The data had to have been transferred locally, meaning it was an inside job.

Silly question: Mule-ear will not go after anything that would lead to ‘discovery’ in the obamaroid or clintoon criminality.

In Donna Brazile’s book about the 2016 election, she makes it clear that CrowdStrike is incompetent. It was mainly tech volunteers, ie FB and such guys cleaned up the DNC servers post ‘leak’. Donna had nothing but bad stuff for CrowdStrike in general.

Note also that the Seth Rich incident is almost always characterized as an “attempted robbery”.

There is no evidence for that.

He was not robbed. They did not try to rob him. They roughed him up and they shot him in the back. That’s what happened. That’s properly called “a hit”.

'But yet we're told the Russians have 30,000 emails from Clinton'

Hold on. Clinton was so able and competent that she used a private server that was immune from hacking. Well, that's the story.
