IG Has NO POWER TO SUBPOENA Former Obama Employees — That’s Why Rosenstein Asked Him to Investigate

Full title: HUGE!! IG Has NO POWER TO SUBPOENA Former Obama Employees — That’s Why Rosenstein Asked Him to Investigate Spying on Trump

On Sunday evening, Justice Department Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein asked Inspector General Horowitz to investigate whether there was “impropriety or political motivation” into the FBI’s infiltration of Trump’s campaign.

This came just hours after President Trump demanded a review of whether Obama’s Deep State FBI did indeed spy on his campaign.

I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes – and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!

This isn’t a bit surprising for those that know what an IG is for, and what the office’s limits are.

What about Huber? Isn’t that why he is working with Horowitz?

As Meadows says, this is a RUSE.
Where is Jeff Sessions?
He is on the sidelines of the biggest scandal
in American history.
The IG can only interview current DOJ, CIA and
FBI employees.
Who will get to the bottom of this scandal?

Justice Department Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein

**************

The Deputy AG is in fact the defacto AG because Sessions has completely abdicated his responsibilities and duties. I can’t wait for Trump to finally remove him from his position. Hopefully in the most disrespectful way possible.

Trump should know by now that bureaucrats are self-serving and always do what benefits them. You can be certain that anything they agree to do will be to their advantage.

This is an immutable fact. Never agree to anything they agree with.

i’d feel better if we had a good 2nd special counsel appointed. That SC would outlast a potential dem takeover of the house.

And i would know that justice will come - if slowly - and so would the meuller coup cabal.

“”This isn’t a bit surprising for those that know what an IG is for, and what the office’s limits are.””

As far as I’ve ever been able to tell, they are there to collect paychecks. I think the whole idea of IG’s should be abolished. I continue to say they are like the TV commercials - they don’t do anything, they just monitor!

If they DO DO anything useful and step on the wrong toes, they get fired - ie Walpin when he investigated an Academy in Sacramento that obozo’s basketball buddy had links to. I think if I remember right, that poor man lost his job and a few years later was hit and killed by a vehicle in NYC.

::After its May 20, 2009 meeting that discussed Walpin’s report criticizing the St. HOPE Academy settlement agreement and Walpin’s forthcoming report questioning the validity of the largest AmeriCorps program—the Research Foundation of City University of New York (RFCUNY) New York City Teaching Fellows program, the bipartisan CNCS Board of Directors unanimously requested that the White House review Walpin’s conduct as Inspector General.[7][8]

Removal and lawsuit[edit]

Walpin was suspended with pay on June 11, 2009 by President Barack Obama, who on the same day advised the U.S. Congress that he would remove Walpin from office, effective 30 days from then, because he no longer had “the fullest confidence in” Walpin as Inspector General,[9][10] and on June 16, 2009, the White House submitted a letter with additional information on the reasons Walpin was removed.[7]::

Blah, blah, blah. If you’re going to be pissed at Sessions then you might as well be pissed at Trump too. He’s Sessions fricking boss!

Jim Hoft is right about this, but I'm not sure it matters all that much. There must already be a ton of information already available from internal resources at the FBI.

An IG investigation would only cover DOJ involvement anyway. Once a link is established to players outside the DOJ, all bets are off.

But some Freepers insist Sessions is playing 256-D chess and is a true southern gentleman and deserves respect for his legacy.

Sessions is a worm. He should have resigned months ago for his own failures.

Sessions is certainly not on Trump’s team. It mystifies me why he’s still there. Never leave anyone in a place where they can resist or obstruct your agenda.

But the IG is Huber’s basis for prosecution. Hard for him to prosecute at this point what the IG can’t investigate.

It’s all theater because the beltway GOP doesn’t support POTUS. Without cover on his flanks Trump can’t engage the kenyan and his thugs. His admin and MAGA agenda would be totally sidetracked in that battle. So we get this kabuki nonsense.

As we’ve been told over and over again on this forum “the IG is Sessions’ big gun”. Sessions is rope a doping everyone and the IG will lower the BOOM for him. Relative to the numbers and magnitude of DS felonies Sessions’ big gun goes pop not boom.

No, he can’t subpoena non-employees. But he can investigate through records - which is part of the ground-work that needs to be performed.

Sessions has recused himself from his job at a crucial time in our history. He walked away from the battlefield.
