Militants from the Islamic State (IS) group have been evacuated from an enclave in the southern suburbs of the Syrian capital Damascus, activists say.
The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said a temporary ceasefire had come into effect following heavy bombardment by the Syrian military.

Al-Ikhbariya TV said a new plan is underway to storm IS-held areas in Hajar al-Aswad, near Yarmouk. The channel’s area correspondent said the coming hours would be “decisive” for restoring government control in Hajar al-Aswad, but didn’t mention Yarmouk.
President Bashar Assad’s forces launched an offensive against the militants in southern Damascus a month ago. The offensive has brought more than 70 percent of the camp under government control. The capture of these southern neighborhoods would bring the entire capital under government control for the first time since the war began in 2011.
...IS has been driven from virtually all the territory it once controlled in Syria and neighboring Iraq, but is still present in remote areas along the border in Deir el-Zour province.

well, a better option would be to convince hizbullah that their real enemies are the Sunnis (Turks as well as Arabs) and that Israel will stick to its side of the Israeli-Lebanon border (if no provocations).. Then let Hamas and hizbuallah fight it out

On the map topic....they had to label it with something. You couldn’t mark it ‘Turkish anti-Assad rebels’ or ‘Turkish Syrian rebels’. And to be honest, I can’t believe a single Turk would be interested in moving down into the territory. This is more of a PR-stunt by Erdogan, and at the appropriate time....they will pronounce success and move back to Turkish lines.

Everyone should not forget, it is very clear, Putin has teamed with Erdogan to let the Turks go after the Kurds, the main force that has defeated ISIS, not the mickey mouse war of Russia with 14% airstrikes against ISIS and still fighting in the capital of Damascus, even making deals with ISIS.
