USA Today: Guns Used In Texas Shooting Were ‘Less Lethal’ Than Other Shootings

63 pellets in 3 seconds is actually faster than the full automatic bullet fire rate...

More accurate, too.

I don't know about today's weapons and tactics; but back in 1969 when we were issued our USMC M-16's in ITR, the instructors took us to the range, one time to fam-fire the weapons in full-auto.

After demonstrating how they burned through a lot of ammo and weren't very accurate in that mode, they taught us: "Don't use it in full-auto mode. Only use semi-auto, aimed fire."

TV shows and movies have fooled people into thinking that full-auto is just like magic. It never misses. Bump stocks are probably worse at half the rate of fire. YMMV.

I have both 12 gauge Rem 870 and 5.56 AR..
I am very familiar with the capabilities of both, and as any hunter would know, for close range the 12 gauge is unequaled in devastation. Hands down the most deadly per round on a scale I would estimate as three to ten times the wound channel.
Rifles have strengths over shotguns and they are more effective for the more long range shots.

Again, any hunter would know this, but the average gun illiterate can be lied to in order to advance the anti gun agenda which would eventually ban all firearms, not just ARs.

My .38 is as lethal as any other gun, just takes a good shooter. Want more carnage use a larger patterned weapon, it’s why we also have a 12 guage.

My late husband took down a reared female Rattler from over a yard away with a .22 hand gun he and his uncle were target practicing shooting water jugs in the uncle’s several acre large FL backyard. Both USAF Veterans. Both Farm Boys who if you didn’t bring the protein home, you ate meatless meals.

Got a good reminder of the full auto BS at Frontsite years ago. They used to have an all day free “machine gun “ class. They used Uzis. The head instructor did a full auto spray and pray with a 30 rd mag on a clean target. From the hip movie style, 5 or 6 hits out of 30. There were some folks surprised. I knew better. Fun day though.

I think the term “less lethal” came about when cops started using non-lethal beanbag rounds and some folks got killed.

It boggles the mind what Leftist brains can conjure up.

And that gullible sheep will gobble up the conjured up garbage as truth because they heard it on CNN or read it in USA Today.
